Very pleased with the service I received. Organisations don't always get it right, but credit given where credit is due and so I feel it only fair to give my view on Gunnislake Health Centre based purely on my experience. Back last December I decided to seek advice from them regarding a suspected inguinal hernia which had been plaguing me for over 2 years. I booked an appointment online, and was offered a date very quickly. During my visit I didn't have to wait long before the doctor was ready to see me, and he was patient and attentive. He diagnosed a hernia and wasted no time referring me for surgery, and even wrote a detailed letter to the hospital. Fast forward 3 months and I am post surgery and recovering well. Thank you to everyone at Gunnislake Health Centre for sorting everything out in a timely and professional manner. This operation is lifechanging and I couldn't have achieved it without your help.

Everyone at the surgery are just brilliant. They are extremely thorough, kind and clearly under alot of pressure. Yes there is a wait for prescriptions at times but since using the new medi pod I just go in the evenings when its quiet. They have been brilliant to me and my Dad. Thank you!

Never had a bad experience with Gunnislake surgery and pharmacy. All the staff work incredibly hard with ever decreasing help from the government. Well done everyone you are amazing and thank you so much.

As normal, appointments were running a little late and the queue to collect prescriptions was appalling, but the staff were great.

Always have to queue for prescriptions in all weathers.

Ever since covid came along, the whole health centre has gone to pot. You can?t get an appointment face to face for love nor money. The pharmacy is now useless, they ask you to allow 5 days to get repeat prescriptions which normally end up nearer two weeks. When you finely get your prescriptions there is always something missing.

The speed with which the pharmacy deal with ?customers? is ridiculously slow. Not sure what the issues are but having to wait 20 minutes in a queue outside the building on many occasions is not great. Please speed it up ?

Unbelievable poor service, turned up got 9 am appointment only to be told it was 12.57, went back at 11.57 only to told it had been cancelled due to me missing my text for blood tests, I showed the receptionist my phone showing all the texts from tamar valley health, and as she could see there wasn?t a text relating to blood test, and surely something as important as a blood test appointment via text can?t be good practice, and surely as we are in the middle of covid I can?t even believe there are no masks in the entrance hall the middle of a covid epidemic

This surgery put me on the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable to Covid list erroneously. They then did the same to my husband. They told neither of us they had done this. They shared my private email address to Cornwall Council and the DHSS without my consent. They shared my husband's mobile number without his consent. When I had Covid I had to fight to get any help. One time when I asked to speak to a doctor I found later I had been speaking to the pharmacist. This really impacted the course of my recovery. Although some of the staff are pleasant and even helpful, some are downright rude. Overall it is not a good place.
