We chose the burgers which are made locally, delicious, and large portions. It is a very popular place and as food is cooked freshly there can be a wait for which you are advised. This can happen anywhere. The staff were pleasant and friendly. There was also an offer for family's of a child under 12 eats free with a paying adult. Would highly recommend and will definitely revisit.

Being a chef all my life ..I find the fish is over cooked and heavy battered . looks like has been left on the deep fryer for sometime. Also the bacon was fatty . Overall the rest of the food was okay.

A charming, characterful old pub with a warm, welcoming feel. It?s the sort of place where you instantly feel at ease. There?s a good selection of drinks, including local ales and a reasonably priced wine list. The sense of history is palpable ? the building?s heritage and old-world charm make it something quite special.

Pretty much the best moules mariniere me and my girlfriend have EVER had! And the cherry on top were the fries/chips we had with them, which were also THE BEST we have EVER eaten! We wanted to come back the next day for precisely the same dish... Don't know what kind of witchcraft you're performing in that kitchen, but it's definitely worth the visit time and time again!

Popped in for a light lunch on a Cornwall tour. Ubiquitous Korev lager - which is great to support local.
Ordered the starter mussels, and the special prawn skewers with chilli and garlic.
Oh, and a side of chips....
Served promptly given the number of covers they were doing, and the food was very very good.
Sat outside, nice vibe as you expect from the southwest.
Recommended, but does appear to be popular, so I would guess there could be a wait at peak times.

Had a cracking lunch here today, service was excellent too. We had the burger, crab sandwich, seafood tagliatelle and blt all 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals thank you ?

Lunch food very poor. Anemic chips, solid fried eggs and cheap ham. Black overdone beef burger. Looked like it had been cooked yesterday.
