We stayed at the Safe Harbour Inn for a weekend and would highly recommend it and would happily stay again.Bear in mind that it is an Inn so you expectations should be accordingly. One of the best part is the free parking what in Fowey is a rare treasure. So you don't have to worry where and for how much. It gives you great flexibility!Location is very good!!! Close to centre and everything really.Check in was seamless. Don't expect a porter though, who will show your way and carry your luggage and expect narrow corridors and staircases so if you have any difficulties on that area consider these. The room had everything we needed and what you expect these days. Heating was on all night! what is sadly not always the norm and it was a pleasant surprise. Our room was tiny but again, had everything so it didn't really matter to us. Don't expect a new generation memory foam mattress but a simple but comfortable bed. It wasn't as firm what I used to, and even a bit bouncy but surprisingly it was actually very comfortable so we had a good night sleep!Full breakfast was substantial and very good! Don't ask me about cereals and yoghurt as those are not my cup of tea for breakfast so didn't pay attention. All in all it was great value for money and a pleasant stay. I can't wish for more.

Great location and very welcoming inn. We had a large, clean and comfortable room with sea views. Very quiet .Bathroom a little dated but no problems and very warm shower. Staff were very welcoming and helpful - we were invited to join the pub quiz that evening.good breakfast with vegetarian option. Free car parking. Fowey was also a lovely place to visit just after Christmas-good choice of places to eat. We will definitely return!

We stumbled across the Safe Harbour whilst staying nearby. We walked into the ?public bar? and didn?t realise there was another side, but this didn?t matter. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a great pint (or two) and a game of darts . Thank you Safe Harbour!

We have just returned from a lovely 3 night stay at The Safe Harbour, our 2nd visit in recent years and we again were not disappointed. Room very clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was lovely, with a good choice and freshly cooked. Short walk into the beautiful town of Fowey

We had been booked to stay here for one night only as our final night on our 7-day trek from Penzance. First of all, I wrote to Management several weeks before our stay to enquire about a taxi service and also to enquire about breakfast times since we had a 300 mile journey on the morning of our departure. We did not receive a reply. Upon our arrival at the Inn, we were advised that they had no space for eating that night and also that there was a live band. After 9 hours and 18 miles walking that day - Mevagissey to Fowey - we were not best pleased at the prospect of being kept awake until the early hours. The music played until midnight. Also, breakfast not served until 08.30 which, again, disappointing. This was the latest breakfast for us all week. Most establishments served breakfast from 08.00 with 2 other St Austell brewery Inns on our trip serving breakfast from 07.30 which suited us during our walking week as we wished to be on our way by 8.15 with mostly 8/9 hr walking days ahead of us. Not a suitable place to stay for walkers, if you want a decent night's sleep and if you wish to be on your way sharpish in the morning. Not only discourteous in not asking its guests if they wish to book in for dinner but also not replying to emails :-( You can probably surmise from this post that I am not happy. I will be writing more positively about other places we stayed during our week. This was the worst!

Spent one night recently - single traveller. The ?single? room was very spacious and had a lovely view of the estuary. Clean and had everything I could need. All the staff were excellent and a fantastic cooked breakfast. Thank you Gill and staff.Walkability: Short walk to centre Fowey and the estuary and local Readymoney beach.

The room was perfect, the view was perfect and if you could cope with th stairs, every thing else was perfect. The staff and landlord/lady could not have been more welcoming. We can't wait to go back.

This pub is over priced massively, close to £20 for two large Rum and coke's is beyond stupid. £5.60 for a pint of cider as well. I was wondering why the town was dead on a Friday night. Now I know why, if you have cash to burn feel free to visit but be prepared to empty your wallet and bank account (pretty much like most of the other over priced pubs in Fowey).Walkability: 5 minutes walk to the town.

Great local pub ideally situated at the top of a very steep path out of Fowey (one desperately needs a drink after the climb). Friendly service, good ciders/beers. Locals very chatty. Nice?Walkability: Phew!!
