Once again, a lovely place. Great food for a good price and great service. Good views.

It was probably 10 years ago that we had last stayed here and what a positive change there has been. Refurbished throughout. We got a deal so had a room without a view but it was a good size, bright and very comfortable with a superb bed. One very nice touch was a daily complimentary gin and tonic left in the room (X2). There was a separate shower (bit smaller than ideal) and bath and high quality fittings in the en-suite. Very glad we tried them again. It won't be 10 years before our next visit! PS I forgot to mention how good the staff were - with special praise for Billy (a trainee apparently) who was really helpful. One suggestion (not a gripe!) would be for staff to wear name badges?

Lovely hotel with beautiful views over the estuary. Beautiful decor and very friendly, attentive staff. Has a beautiful old fashioned lift. Steps down to the Esplanade are fairly steep but you can also walk on roads to get into the town if you can't manage. Food was excellent.

Disappointing Sunday lunch last weekend, roast potatoes barely had any colour to them and tasted as though reheated, cauliflower cheese was obviously made from frozen veg all served on the plates, no side bowls. Did not come anywhere near as expected from the advertised meal, won?t be visiting again??However staff very polite. No view really as scaffolding outside window where we were seated.

Had a very nice lunch here looking over the estuary. Good value for a good view. Disabled access good however I couldn't park anywhere near as car park reserved for residents.

Gorgeous; however some of the staff need some customer care training! Reception was disinterested & so uncaring. No information or support.Rooms: Stunning decor; nice touch the gin. Bed so comfy, absolutely gorgeous

Fabulous views over the River Fowey to Polruan. Lovely hotel. We had a free upgrade to a sea/river view. Fowey is one of our favourite places and is perfect for a two or three day break. Well run hotel in a stunning location, great food, friendly staff. Stunning views from the bar and restaurant. Well worth booking a parking space as well for a small fee.

I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and *especially* the staff who were exceptional in every regard. Superb.

We stayed here 3 nights to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Everything about the hotel was perfect. The room with stunning harbour views, the complimentary gin and tonic, the greeting card and chocolates in our room on arrival, the meals, the service, even the lift. All the staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Sunday lunch was very average. Undercooked hard roast potatoes and flavourless veg. Charged £3.50 for a coke that was so small it did not fill a small glass. Could not park at the Hotel and had to park in local car park at cost of £5.60. 12.5 service charge added automatically!! I left feeling ripped off as charge premium prices for an average product. I will not be returning.Food & drinks: Overpriced and average.

I will get my moan out of the way first. The hotel is charging top end prices which I don't have a problem with, due to the service and rooms etc., but they charge £ 10 a day for parking, which needs to be pre booked. I understand that parking is at a premium in Fowey but i don't think you should be charging for parking, especially considering the Padstow sister hotel do not charge. Now for the good stuff. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who gave us our room key 307. The room was very nice, very clean and a complimentary Gin and tonic was waiting for us. The beds were certainly very comfortable and welcoming. Onto the food : We ate at the restaurant on our first nights stay and it was impeccable and could certainly stand its ground with any top restaurant around the country, and I had the best Mackerel starter I have ever had and i have had a few in my time. We also had a sandwich at lunchtime and again very very good. Breakfast again was excellent. The bar area was bustling and relaxed and the waiter even remembered our drinks from the day before, these little bits adds to the ambience of the place. The staff at the hotel are all welcoming, friendly and a credit to the Harbour hotel brand. Would we recommend the hotel yes Would we stay again yes As usual Harbour Hotels did not let us down.

We stayed at this hotel as a family with a 2yr old for a friend's wedding. This hotel is not really a family hotel - but the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and that a toddler wasn't any bother. I'd particularly like to rave about Emily - she was fantastic and I think the hotel is very lucky to have her. The room and hotel were both beautiful. I would pay extra next time for a room with a view. Sadly our room was above a delivery door/where bins were collected in quick succession at 6am. The drivers left their radios very loud, banged a lot etc and it was very difficult to get back to sleep. A room on the other side would avoid this. I'd genuinely love to visit again as a couple to have the full experience of cocktails and food with a view. The nicest hotel in the UK we've stayed at! The staff are clearly very well trained and proud of their hotel.

We very much enjoyed staying here and have no complaints. We booked six nights but sadly had to leave after four due to unforeseen circumstances at home. The staff were all very pleasant tried hard to please the guests. They were mostly present in sufficient numbers and clearly well trained to deal with guests. Service in the hotel and restaurant was very good. The restaurant was always quite full and service was good. The dinner menu had reasonable variety and was supplemented daily with several ?specials?. We ate there every evening because the food and service were so good. Our room had a great view across the estuary to Polruan. It had a very comfortable bed and was generally well appointed. The hotel is only a short walk from the town centre and the ferries. There are several decent walks accessible just by walking from the hotel(eg Gribben Head and the Hall Walk).
