Overall we a satisfactory stay. Room was spacious just missing at least 4 star amenities that would add value for money. Spa treatments was exceptional yet could look into upgrading the leisure facilities other overall experience. Service for breakfast lacked guests experience rather than hospitality. Seemed very rushed to serve everyone.

Good location, fantastic room but unfortunately no restaurant available on the evening only small plates which are quite expensive for what you get.

Booked a swim online and turned up to find the pool was closed. I was given an apology on the spot but explained that I had travelled several miles to get there, and was looking forward to a relaxing day. The manager said that the pool closed the day before. I wasn't contacted about this which was poor practice, and wasted my time.
I had to email them to chase a refund and expected an offer of a free swim to compensate for lack of contact. Can't comment on the facilities because obviously I didn't get to use them. It would have been helpful if someone had let me know in advance that the pool had been closed. And it would be common courtesy to offer a remedy for such poor service.

Positives
-Nice spacious, quiet room with comfy bed.
-Incredible 30 minute massages with Mia.
Negatives
-Barely got a smile from Simon on arrival, neither did he ask how our stay was when checking out.
-Was not shown the ?spa? so had to navigate our way around ourselves. The package included ?use of garden hot tubs? - we had to go on a hunt to find these. They were grotty and the wooden decking with slippery and filthy!
-The pool was cold.
-Below average breakfast, really not enjoyable at all. The juice glasses given were shot glasses, which did make us laugh.
-Prior to our stay, i had emailed (twice) asking for evening meal menu, was looking forward to a Sunday Roast, but no reply. Asked again when checking in, only to be told that there was no chef so no evening meals!
We are thankful to Mia for the wonderful 30 minute massages, and grateful for a peaceful night sleep however, the rest of our stay was below average. We would not recommend this place.

Upon arrival, the lack of a formal reception area and receptionist took us aback. When we left, no member of staff bid us farewell or asked us about our stay. I think this unusual for a 4 star hotel.
Otherwise, a pleasant stay in a hotel staffed by pleasant people.

Had a nice stay whilst working in Falmouth. Spa and pool in the morning were excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Only issue was that the rooms were quite hot in the night and I stayed in October.
Rooms: Hot room in October.
Food and drinks: Breakfast was okay but nothing special.

Just returned from a Sunday night sleepover with friends. Hots tubs and massage was amazing and lovely comfortable beds, spacious rooms. Delicious breakfast. Simon was really attentive and welcoming. We're already looking at dates we can return.

Spent a long weekend break in Falmouth. The hotel helped make it a memorable break! A great location (10+ mins walk to town centre); welcoming and really friendly staff; clean, bright hotel and a well-sized comfortable room; swimming pool and sauna; and a great breakfast. All at a reasonable price!
Definitely recommended.

Walkability: 10+ mins walk to town centre - with hill or two.
Food and drinks: Excellent breakfast and well-stocked reasonable bar.

This is our second stay at Merchants Manor. This stay was just as enjoyable as the first. We definitely recommend this hotel.
We booked/stayed as part of the slowdown Sunday deal. Worth every penny. We even got a free room upgrade to a bigger room!
The hotel team are all very friendly and helpful. Shoutouts to both Simon on the door and Max in the bar who are both an asset to the hotel. Very friendly and helpful.

Happy experience but one or two small issues at breakfast & with room cleaning due to change of staff. Everyone very polite, friendly & helpful.
Rooms: Not luxurious but adequate for our needs. View over tennis club & surgery next door. No lift so would have preferred a ground floor room.
Food and drinks: Good choice of breakfast food. Really good choice of bread. Hotel only offered small plates of food for evening & would have preferred proper meals.

Dingey room overlooking a car park, windows not in great condition, mouldy curtains, but otherwise serviceable. Food was great, staff helpful and friendly, short walk to town and beach.

This was our second visit here and was just as good as our first! All the staff were really welcoming and friendly, the host always stopping to chat to us when she saw us around and the barman recommended a lovely wine, just to name 2!
It was my partners birthday and we arrive to a sweet card in the room which was a lovely touch, we also had spa treatments that were super relaxing and the masseuse was so friendly.
We ended our stay with a lovely morning swim and delicious breakfast. Again can?t emphasise enough how nice all the staff are, the hotel is super clean, and the facilities really good (the lounge area is our favourite to relax in!)
We can?t wait for our third stay already

What a fantastic place to stay, a lovely hotel with real quality rooms and service. A nice smile and a tour of the facilities on greeting.
Our room was very well decorated and a great size. Breakfast was great too , we will revisit at some point well done all .
