Had a lovely meal at Tyacks last night, the new decor is looking great and the food was very good, prices are reasonable now that they have dropped. Definitely be going back soon.

well what can we say apart from disgusting what a waste of 82 quid frozen roast potatoes beef under cooked found a hair in our daughters food waitresses were rude as hell and not to mention why don't YOUR kitchen staff wear hair nets that's the reason our daughter had a hair in her food food was absolutely vile never again will we have ur roast 82 quid we won't get back

Very poor. Walked in this morning and said hello to a staff member who eventually managed to reply. Asked if they do a vegan breakfast and instead of a simple yes or no she just said "menus are over there" so checked out the menu and decided a veggie breakfast would work for me so went to sit down. Same staff member waited for us to choose a table to sit before telling us it was the wrong area. Went to the bar to order as was told no I'm not allowed to swap the egg so we eventually left. I can go to spoons across the road and get better service and a vegan breakfast for half the price.

Tyacks is the dogs. They have the friendliest staff. Sitting in a window seat and watching the world go by whilst eating their ace food and drinking outstanding beer is one of life's great pleasures

We were there on a Friday night and there was really loud music in the bar right below. The bed was literally shaking and the music clearly hearable in the hotel room. That?s unreasonable from a hotel to sell such rooms where you can?t sleep until midnight!

On weekends their bar just below the rooms is very loud to the point that the floors vibrate. We complained to the manager and she told us that this is pointed out on the website. We booked via Booking.com and I after checking now I saw the info is indeed there - if you scroll down about 7 screen lengths and click on a field.

Spent a couple of nights here and found it very welcoming. Staff were great and room comfortable, though the bathroom was looking a little tired and in need of some love. The band on Friday night were good.

It?s definitely a 3 star hotel.
We?re a couple and we had to pull single beds to sleep together, that were so uncomfortable, one of the bed were broken, it was missing the wheel underneath, when you sat on it the headboard moves up.
When I asked for a room with double bed they would charge £100 on top of the price that I had paid already. That?s only for one night.
We cant forget to spoke about the festival they do right into the hotel, people drunk and loud all over the place all night.
Price is too high for the place, the hotel next door is half of the price.
unfortunately I only found out when I was there as I couldn?t notice how big and beautiful the JD Wheterspoon hotel is.

I wouldn?t even give one star but you can?t give no stars I paid for a room and had to contact the hotel to rearrange due to my friend not being able to meet me on those dates then had to have back surgery and became ill with severe depression, they would not give me a refund at all Even though I explained the situation to them I even contacted the owner. This is not the way to keep customers especially not in this climate when businesses are having to close down I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Save your money. Don?t bother if they haven?t got the human decency to refund someone?s money Under the circumstances then they do not deserve to still be in business. I was in retail myself for many years and I know they will get most of their business through word of mouth on average. A customer will tell person about a good sales experience, but the statistics state they will tell four people about a bad one.
