? rude as hell, Scott's daughter in law hit me over the head with a bottle from the bar when I was getting additional drinks to the ones she decided to down. So I ended up in hospital with a head injury and that pub decided to ban me.?

Walked in here with a friend at 11:45 today, venue fully lit, doors open and person behind the bar. Wow, having served in the Royal Navy for many years, and frequented many a pub, this has to be the most miserable hole I?ve ever been in. Within 20 seconds we were told it was closed with no explanation by this lady from middle earth. Was so rude without explanation or alternative we looked at one another gobsmacked like we stumbled into a musty side street on Goodnight Sweetheart. Do yourselves a favour, run for the hills. The only thing this is missing is a fall down a mine shaft.

My wife and I recently stayed at The Vyvyan Arms Hotel, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. .
The room itself was comfortable, clean, and cozy, making it a nice place to unwind after a day of exploring. One thing to note is that the bathroom and toilet are shared, which might be a consideration for some guests. While this wasn?t a major issue for us, it?s worth knowing ahead of time. The facilities were well-maintained, and we never had to wait long to use them, which helped make the shared setup more manageable.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We appreciated their helpfulness and the welcoming atmosphere of the hotel.
All in all, our stay at The Vyvyan Arms Hotel was comfortable and enjoyable. If you don?t mind the shared bathroom arrangement and want a hotel with a great breakfast and friendly service, this is a solid choice.

We arrived there at 6:00 in the morning and the doors was all locked no reception and no one to check us in the hotel? after waiting on road outside the pub? for 40-50 minutes the lady let us in after calling the booking company and all the stress. So the overall experience was stressful..

My recent stay at The Vyvyan Arms Hotel was far from satisfactory, leaving me deeply disappointed in multiple aspects of the establishment. I regret to say that my experience was marred by a series of unfortunate occurrences that made it difficult for me to enjoy my stay.First and foremost, upon entering the hotel, I was immediately greeted by a strong and unpleasant odor reminiscent of urine. This unpleasant smell permeated various areas of the hotel, including the lobby and the hallways, making it an uncomfortable environment to be in.Furthermore, the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt more like a hunting lodge than a welcoming accommodation. The decor and ambiance lacked the warmth and charm one would expect from a reputable establishment. Instead, it conveyed a rather rustic and outdated feel that did not align with my expectations of a comfortable hotel stay.In addition to the aforementioned issues, I found the cleanliness standards to be subpar. The common areas, such as the hallways and the shared spaces, appeared to be neglected and in need of proper maintenance. This lack of attention to cleanliness further contributed to my overall dissatisfaction with the hotel.Ultimately, I cannot recommend The Vyvyan Arms Hotel based on my experience. The pervasive odor, hunting lodge ambiance, and inadequate cleanliness standards made for an uncomfortable and disappointing stay. I sincerely hope that the hotel management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements to provide a more pleasant experience for future guests.

They told me there was no booking. When I showed the bar lady proof she told us to go for a drive for a couple of hours then come back to try again. We booked another hotel, luckily their last room. The pub was smelly and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

A quirky but functional and clean B&B above a pub. Friendly welcome and a very good breakfast with a hilarious foul-mouthed parrot for company! Very good value for money. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are passing through the area.
