Very disappointed I had a booking for 2 people for Valentine?s Day I called today to check it was still ok .I was informed that due to one of us having a peanut allergy I couldn?t have the treatments as all their products contain nuts !I was asked if the allergy was orally or touch !!!The lady kept me holding on the phone whilst she checked if there was any treatments I could have ,she came back to me and said I could possibly have a back massage .she sounded very unconfident about the safety of it .Very worrying and I shall be taking this up with relevant authoritiesI had stated in the booking that one of us was anaphalxis due to the peanut allergy yet no one said anything until I contacted them today !

I had an amazing experience at Clowance Spa with Karen. She is a very professional, experienced, talented, and kind therapist. I had a 3 hour long treatment and I have to say I had my best spa experience ever! What Karen did today, that is called real spa treatment with absolute relaxation. Templespa products are gentle for the skin with a soft scent, I did really like them. If I will visit Cornwall again I will definitely come back. Karen deserves 10 stars instead of five. Thank you so much for this lovely and relaxing experience today. Highly recommended!

Our accommodation was really lovely, we stayed in an Argel lodge with a hot tub- the ensuite could have been cleaned better but the rest of the lodge was immaculate! I would suggest an ironing board available in the lodge and some more serving dishes, very basic kitchen crockery. Our children loved the pool and play areas but the pool could have done with being cleaned more regularly, often there was dirt/plasters on the floor and the womens changing rooms did smell of urine on 2 or 3 of the days. We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious, we also had lovely takeaway pizzas from there. It is not advertised that there is major groundwork going on on the site and this was disappointing when relaxing on the deck/hot tub. Once the site is finished it will be lovely but the price we paid for our lodge is not a true reflection of the luxury expected.

Overall a pleasant stay in a St. Ives style lodge but expected a bit more for nearly £2000. Ideally I would rate it 3.5. The grounds are nice and the lodge itself was in reasonable condition but no privacy when out on the decking or using the hot tub. Our particular lodge (16) had people walking right past our deck all throughout the day and evening, cutting across the grass area in front of us. Some simple screening could improve this massively. There was also some groundworks going on for some new, less attractive looking lodges, which wasn?t ideal but probably finished by now. There is absolutely no phone signal (for EE at least), of course at no fault of Clowance but their WiFi isn?t much better, constantly dropping out for hours at a time. Maybe it?s better in lodges nearer the main buildings as was fine in the bar area and of course this isn?t going to be an issue unless you are phone addicts like us. I will say the park in general was very quiet at night and all the staff we interacted with throughout the week were very friendly and helpful. We didn?t eat in the restaurant but did stop in for drinks on a few occasions which was perfectly fine. The biggest plus for us was the general location, a great base for exploring Cornwall. Not sure we would return simply based on the quality of some of the other lodge style parks we have stayed at for a similar or lesser price.

We've been with Seasons for over 10 years now and every holiday has been fantastic. Being able to choose where to go from their numerous resorts has been a huge bonus for us when coming alone or when we bring the whole family. Each resort has things to for for all of us no matter the weather, there isn't a huge variety of food in the restaurant however being a self-catering holiday destination, this isn't a huge matter. Coming from a city, we love the open spaces and every resort we have been too has been surrounded by great scenery. Behind the scenes make it is really easy to rent out our weeks when we haven't been able to make it of a year and when wanting to go abroad the process has been super easy even for us old folk. Will recommend Seasons to anyone ?

The location is ideal for visiting Cornwalls most stunning beaches, we have stayed in other nearby resorts before but Clowance really impressed us with great on site facilities for the children and lovely grounds. We were told they were full to capacity, but the site was peaceful and the grounds well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived later than planned due to the A30 traffic which we have been told will be ongoing until December so we headed straight to Reception as we couldn't make out where our lodge was on the map, the young lady at Reception even drove to the lodge to ensure we were in ok. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved our Argel 126 lodge, it was brand new and didn't disappoint. All in all, a fantastic stay!

Arriving ever so slightly late, we pulled into the drive to the welcome of bunnies bounding across the green lawns. Check in has been made contactless in the ?new normal? we live in today so we quickly found our lodge and did not need to worry about going to reception. This was handy as my grandson was itching to stretch his legs. Our week consisted of archery, rowing and lots of cream teas! Dreamy. There was plenty for the grandchildren to do, although some attention could be paid to the play park as it looked to be getting a little tired. Otherwise, I could not fault the estate... I only wish we could?ve stayed longer! Will certainly return, see you soon Clowance.

Lovely accommodation and very good facilities on site, very peaceful. Would recommend and definitely would go again been there twice so far once in 2012 with the family (2 Children), this year just me and my wife. Has not changed much.

Was allocated lodge 20, unfortunately the tall trees in the hedge almost completely shade the deck area. There is also zero privacy on the decking or for the hot tubs.They have also built a new row of accommodation units which frankly resemble Butlins chalets also with no privacy. The quaint boathouse which was one of the original features of the resort is being allowed to fall into disrepair. The grounds are still lovely and well maintained. More entertainment in the restaurant area would be good. Overall it is still a nice place to stay , but I think if I paid what Clowance are now charging I would be rather disappointed.

We had a wonderful week in the Argel Spa lodge. The place was clean and luxurious can?t recommend enough. The pool and grounds were absolutely lovely and staff were always friendly and helpful. Can?t recommend enough!

The glass lodge (23) is beautiful. Love the design. Also really like Clowance Estate on the whole + it?s a great location for exploring St Ives etc. nearby. The pool is also lovely and clean with great staff. BUT the lodge smells and feels very damp. Bed sheets and clothes felt damp after a day or so, and the smell when you walk through the door says it all. For that reason, we don?t want to return. A dry and clean smelling lodge would have made the world of difference. So much potential, but misses the mark.

Excellent location with easy access to other areas in Cornwall. Luxury lodge was very well appointed and comfortable. Site has excellent facilities with very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I am a Time Share member of the company and entitled to Standard Accmodation. On this visit I was upgraded to Premier Accommodation, I feel on an ulterior motive. I was invited to a meeting where I was encouraged to invest more funds into the business. This review is therefore based on my experience of the Premier Accommodation and facilities.

Booked a table for my husbands 60th Birthday weeks ago.. 2 days before after 2 text messages to remind me of the said reservation they cancel it. I'm annoyed and upset and as a local will NEVER recommend or use ever again. You have spoilt his day 1 because I now have to find another table on a bank holiday weekend and 2 because he was there when you rang and learnt of the surprise. ?
