A nice medieval church in the historic heart of callington, up on a slight hill. Built on an earlier building elements of which seem to survive including a possibly Norman font. The church is impressive, some lovely architectural features and stained glass. However it is a little progressive and this has lead to some very poor design choices. Glass doors replaced some earlier doors which is a real negative. The graveyard though still containing stones has been cleared and stones rearranged. Spaces have been made in some areas of the church for crèches and coffee morning. Though I believe it is vital to keep churches as part of the community, I think this has caused an imbalance that acts to the detriment of the buildings history.

Lovely church. From our look around it feels like a living, loving church. My only one, small complaint, we would have appreciated being able to use the toilet when we were there, but they were locked (this wasn't a Sunday service time, we just popped in on a Saturday while we were in the area).

Lovely to share communion for Ash Wednesday with folk from St Mary?s, where we received a warm welcome, for which thank you!
