What a wonderful place this is. Went on the recommendation of a friend. Tucked away a little bit, but wonderful atmosphere, great food and at a price that doesn't make you weep.
Service really good, great range of drinks and will most definitely be going back when we are in the area again.

Had a lovely 3 course mid week meal here as a treat. Staff were lovely, service was ideal. A proper country pub. Great to see some of them still exist. Camembert and breads, pork scratchings and gravy. The child's chicken nuggets were more like battered chicken breasts, scampi and chips were standard, the beef and horseradish pie was huge, burger tasted amazing. Ice cream, coffee, a lovely sundae and a huge brownie for deserts. Everyone left stuffed. A pleasure we will be back for another game of pool. Thank you.

Amazing carvery! The beef was perfect, melts in the mouth. Very good selection and generous with the meat. Lovely helpful staff too. Highly recommended, will be back.

Lovely spot for a spot of lunch. Catered for our large group really well. Food was tasty and well presented and service was very friendly.

Couldn't fault the food. However I was disappointed with lack of customer service when I had to change the booking at the last minute.
It wasn't the best experience if you have to amend the booking at the last minute.

Very friendly village pub around the Devon & Cornwall border. Sunday roast carvery is excellent as the veg is cooked in small batches and brought out fresh. You're seated, then invited up to be served so no scrummage to pick what you want on the plate.
Recommend booking but walk-ins are accepted if space allows.
Outside seating with undercover areas for enjoying a drink alfresco should the weather allow.
Sunday is roast only but every other day there is an extensive menu of regular meals and daily specials available.
Well worth a visit or two.

We called off after being recommended by another pub that wasn't serving food. The staff are super friendly and professional and the food was outstanding! I have eaten a lot of pies in my time, but this was by far the best! Very generous sized portions, lovely atmosphere and very welcoming. Pool table downstairs, which the kids loved. Thank you for finishing our holiday on a high!

I stopped for a quick snack & pint before a hike and ended up with one of the best meals I've ever had. The spring weather called for something piping hot, and on top of the wood stove's coziness, the server/bartender suggested the chicken special - a masterpiece of fresh flavors. I'll have to go back before my trip ends to see what else they haver up their sleeves.
