Got recommended this place as a ?MUST VISIT? by our Airbnb host and let me tell you, they were not wrong!
Drove here from Bude after booking a table the day before which thank god we did because it was very busy. Had to wait 5 minutes for our table to be ready upon arrival where we were placed outside under heaters, given blankets and the menu was presented to us on a huge blackboard. Ordered a few lovely glasses of white and some cans of the local Cornish beer (name I has been forgotten?)
The food came in tapas style and one dish by one we were absolutely delighted. Starting off with the oysters which were stunningly fresh, to die for scallops, monkfish sashimi (WOW I COULD DIE!), hake with seaweed aioli and halibut drowning in champagne velute with a couple sides. Yes it was a lot and was very greedy but worth every single penny and luckily I?m a man with an endless appetite on holiday so I was frequently caught licking the plates.
Service from all the staff was amazing, very professional but chatty and friendly giving us recommendations for the next few days.
If you?re a seafood lover like us you HAVE to visit here I beg!!!

The best meal I've had in years! Every dish was delicious and surprisingly, super varied and loved the Asian twists on British ingredients. Lovely setting. Amazing to see the open kitchen. Nothing bad to say about the place. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Great setting, beautiful restaurant with amazing food and service. The whole menu looked great, but can highly recommend the crab with coconut and the skate.

I?d agree that the food was often too oily. The monkfish and scallops were great though! The service was impeccable - very friendly and attentive but not too interfering. Great choice for such a small kitchen!

Devine seafood menu changes regularly. Small plates menu. The sardines and oysters were our highlight. The quality and execution is absolutely top notch and the service from the staff was excellent, friendly and professional. Really good small wine list too and plenty of craft beers.

I can't really fault this place to eat. The chefs are on fire and obviously are building up to something bigger than this diminutive little eatery because their ambition with the food they are serving is obvious. Some of the best seafood cookery I have eaten. Fresh, interesting, simple. We had hake, monkfish, and lemon sole, oysters and scallops. Everything was great, but the monkfish was to die for. However, special mention needs to go to the vegetarian chickpea dish which was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Service was happy and enthusiastic. If only there was more places like this. Get there and eat before something happens and you can't!

This tiny restaurant is awesome and the food is just fantastic: fresh, thoughtful and absolutely delicious. We loved literally everything we ordered ? 6 sharing plates, which included the burrata, chickpeas, sea bass, Make with Romesco sauce, potatoes and olives. The service was spectacular and the playlist so good that we hunted it down and downloaded it on the drive home. In sum total, this is one of my most favorite dining experiences ever. Absolutely nothing pretentious and completely full of intention.

Amazing meal, I loved sitting outside with a blanket under the heater, staff were really friendly and attentive, food was really high quality, my favourite was the mackerel, my partner almost ordered a second dessert!

The overall feeling having eaten here is disappointment. For the price, I would expect something much more special. My husband and I were sat opposite the toilet which is never a good start. Nor was the overly loud music. I?m austistic, so my husband asked for the music to be turned down. The response he got from the staff was ?hmph?. Some of the food was delicious, but a lot of it was overly oily and not that special given the price. The potatoes were not good: too oily with a predominant flavour of egg from the homemade mayo. In comparison to the Little Prawn where we tried the day before. It was more expensive and didn?t taste that good, nor were the staff particularly friendly or welcoming.

My friends and I visited The Rocket Store as a group of five - in summer a reservation is required a couple of days in advance as the indoor seating is extremely limited, with four tables inside (although there are several tables outside which are covered and have heaters). While there are a couple of main dishes, it is advised by the waiting staff to order dishes as a table for sharing (tapas style). We ordered a variety of dishes: the mackerel was the highlight, as it was absolutely delicious. The sea bass was also tasty as were the crispy chickpeas and the cabbage - the oysters were also sublime. The food was delightful overall; no dish required any major changes or improvement in terms of the recipe or preparation. However, there were some aspects of the meal which left us slightly dissatisfied. We felt some of the prices didn?t appropriately reflect the portion sizes. This was an issue for the sea bass and the lamb chops. For £14, one would expect slightly more than one very small lamb chop, and similarly for the sea bass one would expect slightly more than five or six small mouthfuls for £16. In a similar theme, we also had some confusion when the dishes were brought as they combined multiple orders of the same dish onto the same plate for some of the dishes but not others, which seemed inconsistent and lead us to believe that they had brought one of the two dishes ordered to the table and the other was still being prepared. We agreed that it would have been preferable if they either kept the two orders segregated onto separate plates or made it clear that the two orders had been combined onto one plate upon delivery of the dish to the table. Additionally, a service charge of 12.5% was added to the bill, and I am never in favour of a service charge - I would much rather just tip what I deem to be fair.
I would like to reiterate that the food was absolutely delectable, and we would absolutely return. However, we would be careful to choose the dishes in order to avoid those that offer poor value for money. Given the criticism presented above, we feel it fair to award four stars. All in all, it was a very positive experience regardless.

We had a late lunch after exploring Boscastle. It was a very windy day and we sat outside. The food was absolutely phenomenal! We got half a dozen oysters with ginger, apple and green chilli. It was fresh, warm and sweet on a beautifully sea salty oyster. We also shared a salty, tangy and tasty chickpea and yoghurt dish, a charred hispi cabbage and grilled mackerel with a fresh home made nam jam.
Service was attentive and friendly in a busy environment. Plates came out individually and meant that we got to enjoy them hot and/or fresh.

We went to the Rocket Store at 3:30pm to book a table for two people for the same evening and was told they had space at 7pm and was booked in.
Came back at 7pm to find that I hadn?t been booked in and needed to return in 25 minutes.
Such a shame as we wanted to experience the Rocket Store but poor organisation has put us off.
