Stayed here for 2 nights very good hotel , rooms are not extravagant but for the price are good . Breakfast service very good and food was lovely.
Friendly welcome and lovely views from our room ( 10) of the river and ducks ! Highly recommend if you are in the area

Overpriced, shabby and staff with attitude. Two single bed frames pushed together with mattress on top. Bed linen/towels terrible with a polyester doona.
Staff rude they make Basil Fawlty look like a saint. If you like to be up and out early to walk don?t stay there as they will not serve breakfast before 8.30am and speaking of breakfast all ordered and prepared the night before.
This was our third stay and will never return. Don?t waste your money.

We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. We had the baked brie as a sharing starter which was great. My partner had the Penang veggie curry which he enjoyed. I had the spicy quinoa, beetroot and edamame cake with chickpea cassoulet and roasted Mediterranean vegetables which was delicious. We both finished the meal off with apple and pear crumble. It was all lovely and the staff were friendly and very welcoming.
After dinner we walked through the pretty village to watch the sun go down over the wonderful natural harbour at Boscastle. The perfect end to a great evening!
Based on our experience we have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Thank you to all the staff at the riverside we has a lovely 4 days here it's a beautiful place to stay and the staff are always very welcoming and friendly.

We visited this restaurant 2nd June 2024, at 12 noon. The carvery was simply the best carvery we have ever had. The restaurant was immaculately clean. The staff were lovely so warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

A spacious room with an amazing view of the river towards the sea entrance. A pleasant sound of the river Valency flowing gently past, is also very pleasing too. The carvery was very nice, however the cauliflower cheese wasn't very nice and the meat was sliced very thin. Would still go back though.

Wonderful from start to finish.
We had a superior double and a single for my adult son. His room was cosy but clean, lovely window nook to sit and watch the river, he was happy in it.
Our room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated, felt very homely. Beautiful views from the 3 windows.
We ate both nights there, food was all very tasty as was breakfast.
Staff were all helpful and very cheerful
Honestly could not fault it.price also excellent given 2 rooms for 3 people plus breakfast and dinner over a bank holiday weekend came in under £700.
I hope to be back one day
