Wow what an amazing find this Pub was. We were looking for somewhere to stay after a Gin Making Course at Colwith Farm (which was fantastic) and came across this Pub. Our room was really pretty, comfortable and clean. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. We had lunch, evening meal and breakfast and all were great - it seems extremely rare to find such a wonderful country pub these days - Thank you for a wonderful stay

2 night stay with supper and breakfast on both days. Relaxed and welcoming place. Lovely rooms. Great host , charming and debonair ( he told me to say that) . We were a group of 12 and couldn?t fault the Crown. Will be back next year

Just go! Wonderful ambience, warm and welcoming. Great beer and good wine. Tasty food with excellent service. We will return.

The Crown is a proper pub with great beers. They manage to incorporate a restaurant with good food and an extensive menu without spoiling the ambience of an English pub

Just had our third Sunday roast here and again it was fantastic! For a start this is a proper old fashioned inn with beams, fireplaces, even a well! Then there?s the fact it?s an independent pub with a great choice of beers, very well kept too! Then there?s the food! Choice of roasts including vegetarian and vegan all arrive with generous portions of veg on the side, back in the Summer you could have a salad selection if you preferred. The puddings are home made and delicious and the bill won?t make you break out in a sweat! The staff are lovely! Our waitress had only been in the job for three days but was friendly and helpful and the landlord is definitely a host who makes you feel welcome! Already looking forward to our next visit!

Superb Sunday lunch. One of the best we have ever had the pleasure of eating. Friendly and efficient staff. We always make a point if booking a meal whenever we stay in Cornwall.

Lovely Inn, Large open fires and lots of local customers, creating a lovely atmosphere. Food was delicious and well presented and reasonably priced. Staff were attentive and very polite. Landlord very amiable. We stayed in a cottage in the next village for a long weekend and dined here every night.

Honestly that was the best Sunday roast I have ever had! Definitely worth booking as they were absolutely rammed, but all completely manageable. Don?t bother looking elsewhere for a Sunday roast.11/10

Just had our second visit seeing family and can?t fault the crown at allThe room was clean and tidy very home from home . Even had free clotted cream biscuits ?The breakfast was lovely and you could also have a cooked breakfast!We ate in the restaurant twice and loved the fish and chips and also the Sunday roast was very tasty . Don?t forget the treacle pudding with clotted cream .It?s out of the way but well worth it .Great landlord very friendly and attentive staff .Just try the cold river cider it?s amazing ?Will be booking for next year??

Reviewed this as accommodation and gave five stars because of the atmosphere, restaurant and rooms. We also had 9 of us for a Sunday lunch, including two small kids. There was a wide choice of roasts, including the nut roast which I chose, and everyone was very happy with their meals, even the kids. Excellent sweet selection for those with room left. Nice selection of beers, ciders and wines, and excellent coffee too. All the staff were great and very friendly.

Had a outstanding 3 course Beaujolais Nouveau lunch with delicious wine today, complements to the chef, thank you Tim Not to late to book for this evening too

This pub offers everything from just an evening out or for a lovely weekend break.The staff are on the ball and happy to help in all aspects. Food was super? breakfast.. lunches and Dinner. ( ? Real? roast Sunday lunch) Plenty to do all round this part of Cornwall.

Beautiful pub.Went with friends & although very busy, the service was very good & the staff friendly. Even the landlord, "although very shy & retiring", was fun & attentive.I had one of the best steaks I've ever had! Melt in the mouth lushness!Would definitely go again & highly recommend!
