Lanhydrock House and Garden in Cornwall is a stunning Victorian estate. With beautifully restored rooms and lush gardens, it offers a glimpse into 19th-century luxury and a peaceful outdoor escape. A must-visit for history enthusiasts or those seeking a serene day out ?.

Just a heads up for anyone planning a visit to Lanhydrock this season, please be aware that some very important renovation works are in progress in the long gallery (as indicated on the web site) please be aware that these works have impacted on the layouts of many other rooms in the building beyond the long gallery and have affected the ground floor main lobby, the inner lobby, the dining room and several rooms at first floor level. Whilst the works in the long gallery are interesting the amount of disruption is quite extensive in some areas and this may possibly detract from your visit. I hope this review is helpful, just something to be aware of this season

Playground: Really nice children's playground with sand floor.Restrooms: Plenty of toilets. Clean and well maintained.Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly grounds, although they must be kept on a lead and not allowed in the garden area.

Beautiful house and grounds. Very interesting contents. Would be nice if they had some notes for each room as there were not many guides and those present stayed in the corridors. Fortunate to be able to climb the scaffolding to see the amazing gallery ceiling up close whilst it is cleaned

Love the house, the beautiful ceiling which is being cleaned, which means you can climb up closer to it. Had a lovely cream tea in the cafe. The ground is big and great for dog walking .

The house was closed for winter but had a lovely walk through the grounds. Wanted our national trust passport stamped and the lengths the nice lady in the shop went to, to at least date stamp it... Over and above. Next time we will visit in season. But for a beautiful dog walk In November perfect

Always a joy to visit. The house and grounds are beautiful. One of the few houses that feels really like it was lived in and loved. There are also lovely walks down to the river. Always something new to explore.

A must-see for everyone of all ages.So much history if that is your interest.Or, the parkland to take a bicycle out into. The gardens never disappoint.Whatever the time of year you visit, there are always beautiful flowers, ferns, and magnolias amongst all the Camellias, that flower from February. We love it here, it us also National Trust, so that is a bonus if a member.Dog-friendliness: Many people bring their dogs, just have to be mindful if livestock are grazing on the open parkland.
