Had my wife's 60th birthday celebration here last night, and had an amazing time. Claire from the reception team was really helpful in booking this. The food was lovely, very well done to the chef. 15 meals, all served at exactly the same time, all hot, and all really lovely. The serving team were brilliant and so friendly, particularly Jane. We had such a good evening, thank you.
We had looked at several hotels, when looking to book this celebration meal, and were so glad that we chose Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club :).

Lovely staff. Very clean. I'm staying here on business but don't play golf, hence slight mark reduction. It's also a bit remote for me, but that's because it's a top golf venue.
Excellent hotel, just not ideal for 'my' needs. If I liked golf 5 stars all the way.
Really nice food. Amazing pizzas and lovely casual fish dishes.
I recommend it. If you like golf, you won't go wrong here.
Rooms: Best house keeping service I've seen in years. Attentive yet discreet. I'm messy, yet they tidy around my nonsense perfeclty.
Very clean and bright room. Public areas are always neat and tidy.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights as part of a tour. Located a little outside the city, on a very beautiful 18-hole golf course, the rooms either overlook the golf course or the car park. I had a room with a view of the golf course. The furnishings in the room are a little dated, but everything is still very clean and the bed is comfortable. Unfortunately, the windows don't close properly, so you can feel the cool wind in the room. It makes sense to book a room on the ground floor, as there is a small terrace there. The service staff are very friendly, all areas are very clean. The breakfast buffet is not particularly extensive, but OK. The kitchen conjured up a three-course meal for us for dinner. Although it was quite tasty, if you consider the prices they charge, unfortunately it only gets three stars.
