Avoid!!booked my wife's car in for mot online for an 11 30 booking,confirmed by email, when she dropped the car off 15 mins early as requested in the email,she was informed its booked in for 13.00 so she left it with them,I phoned up and asked why the change in time,they told me some sort of I.t problem but would try to get it done earlier, I stressed that I needed the car back asap as I'd changed mine and my wife's day around to accommodate dropping the car off,roll forward to nearly 16.00 in the afternoon my wife had to ring them to ask if the car was ready,oh has nobody phoned you to tell you its ready?erm no that's why I'm ringing!!day absolutely ruined by these incompetent people, the car was literally just having an mot which should be roughly an hour,I'll never use this place again as had booking issues in the past and issues with tyres I had fitted asked them to put 32psi in,checked them the following morning to find one had 36psi and the other was around 30psi never again!!

17/2/2024 - Absolute joke! Took my car in on a startup issue, was told battery was on its way out, needed replacing, but, didnt have a price and to go back the following week. Took to Halfords, 30 minutes later, who fitted me a new battery, but, startup issue continued. The lovely chap tested my old battery and told me its very good and at 89%. Now being told its a starting motor problem. Luckily the gentleman removed my replacement battery, for free, and didnt charge me the £175 it would have cost me. Barry wilks are shameful and almost cost me alot of cash on a battery i didnt need. We have used you before, but have been warned numerous times not to use you again, should have listened. Thankyou Halfords, shame on you Barry Wilks. Avoid this garage at all costs, its reputation speaks for itself. Terrible service.

All locked up! I paid for and booked in via e-tyres to get new tyres for my MOT on Tuesday, on Saturday between 15:00 and 16:00. Everything locked up and nobody was answering the phone! Not sure what to do, feeling very angry, and a little concerned. Book and pay for tyres (not cheap) and then nothing!

Had a poor experience here. Booked tyres and tracking online for a certain day, turned up on time and got told the tracking couldn't be done because not enough staff. Disappointing but re booked for the week after. Turned up the second time on time (8:30am) to be told there was 4-5 before me and was a long wait, after explaining what happened last week they got me in next. Tyres got fitted and the guy got it up on the ramp for tracking, watching through the window seen him struggle with the bolts, with his sockets slipping a few times and hitting the floor, a few minutes later comes in and says he can't do it because the bolts are rounded off ? asked him if they were rounded off before he started and he said yes, but why not tell me before attempting to get them off. Assuming they were a little rusty and he's rounded them off himself. As I walk up to the car on the ramp I notice the wheel has also been damaged on the tyre machine. I know they weren't damaged as I clean the car and am very keen, another guy says he seen the guy take them off and the damage was already there (must have good eyes ? to see the mark from a far) you can even see the scratching around the edge where the tyre machine has been then a chunk where it's caught the wheel. Got told someone would call me Monday (yesterday) but yet to receive a call. Wouldn't recommend this place unfortunately.

MOT on my wife's car. Told needed new discs and pads @£270 on the rear to pass MOT. Turns out it was an advisory on the MOT and not needed there and then. Then told rear brake binding but the car rolls easily by pushing. Then told one brake not working as well as the other side but it would show like that as one side found to have a slow puncture. Wont use them again.

Screwed up brake pad fitting by poor installation, meaning excess wear requiring premature replacement at extra cost to myself.Complaints to customer service ignored, probably hoping I will go away.Avoid these amateurs.
