Came in to buy some chocolate. One lady with short blonde-ish hair and glasses completely ignored me while I was waiting at the till so I went to the self service tills instead. Then she spoke to me like I was stupid. Please teach your staff some manners! Other staff members are nice, don't get me wrong..

This is the first time I have posted a review, and am doing so now because I felt so incensed by a totally inaccurate review posted slagging this shop. I have used this shop now daily for many years and have had excellent service BY ALL MEMBERS OF STAFF, whom I have found to be the most helpful and accommodating of any shop I have used.

Extremely rude staff, no customer service provided and no management back up, asked for extra bags willing to pay and was basically told it was because I was packing them wrong, bags split before the food had finished being scanned. The lady Michelle kept shouting at me and being rude in front of my son, the manager stood there and let this lady be extremely rude. Well Michelle what you didn't know is the food was being bought for a memorial dinner so thank you for making a bad day even harder. Head office have been contacted as I truly do not understand how you have a job in customer service, very rude, disrespectful lady who then proceeded to slag us off to other customers and stand there laughing and pointing making my autistic son very uncomfortable whilst we where trying to get a taxi home

This is a very convenient shop, with great staff. Lots of fresh fruit and veg and good bargains.
However :-
Twice this week I have been overcharged. I bought bread rolls clearly marked 50p each and was charged 60p, that is 20% more than advertised.
Today I was charged £10 for a bottle of wine clearly marked at £8, that is 25% more.
Both times I spotted the error and it was corrected for me. But I have no idea how many customers before or after me were charged the incorrect higher price.

Clean, bright, well laid out. Pretty full shelves with some gaps. Staff behind screens at tills, helpful & friendly. Not too busy. Being on the main high street makes it handy for quick lunchtime or even after work shop. Had everything I went in for and more.

It's a pity they don't give true opening times. I just went to shop and arrived a good 35 minutes before the stated closing time of 10 p.m. to find them already locked up with no explanation. If their real closing time in 9, why not say so? But if they can't be relied on, what use are they?

Absolutely dreadful. Rude staff, overpriced and never fully stocked. Get rid and put in an asda. I only went in coz they had an offer on the coffee I like. Don't usually shop in this hell hole and won't in future
