I have just visited Halfords Widnes with my sons bike. He had a flat tyre with 3 days left of the summer holidays. Luckily Alex in store was there to help, he happily and quickly replaced the inner tube! thank you so much Alex for your prompt and helpful service! You've made my sons day!

Looked at a few bikes last week and received help from a lovely female Halfords employee. We picked it up today and the gentleman serving us was quick, friendly and efficient. Upon getting outside, the chain came off and the female employee (from last week) came and showed us how to reattach it. Great service! Thank you ?

BRAKE DISC & PADS ordered 13-08-2025 for collection at WIDNES store from 10:00am 14-08-2025.
Tracking and texts were never updated all day.
Tracking shows 3 stages, 1st stage - store locating parts. 2nd stage - ready for collection. 3rd stage - collected.
Did not get past the 1st stage and NO texts updates.
Phone number listed for store is false despite being a local number for the store area, instead it goes to a central service centre who then cannot work with the order number and store locations, more info required email and mobile number required.
After several minutes the lady came back to me to say parts were ready to collect.
Off to WIDNES store after 6.00pm whereby was told by an assistant that they don't deal with tracking or texts, having worked in many forms of industries and 7 years in retail were all ordered goods was logged at the point of receiving.
Not the first time I have had problems with this store.
Very seldom use this store, motor parts that's a joke they buy from Euro Car Parts and even a basic engine oil filter has to ordered. (Oil filter was obtained elsewhere better quality and cheaper.
Must admit 2 of the parts I bought were over £100 cheaper than anywhere else.
This however is no excuse for poor service by lack of promised communications.
Which also meant car off road for another day.
Woulds like to thank Chantelle for her reply almost 24 hrs later who wants my details using Halfords pretend customer service where there is no record of her on their customer service site live chat system.

I took my son?s bike in to the Widnes branch, after he had completely destroyed his gear box. I didn?t catch the colleague?s name but I was overwhelmed by his attitude, his knowledge and his general willingness to help. He took the bike, and gave us a price to have the gearbox replaced, and told us that it would be ready the following day because he might not have time to look at it on the day. Within 1 hour I received a message to tell me the work had been done. The service was amazing and although I have always bought my bikes at Halfords, I would now definitely not ever go anywhere else.

Dropped off my bike at Halfords in Widnes, as it needed a new chain putting on it. The person on the bicycle section inspected it and confirmed that the chain was snapped on one link, and I also mentioned that I needed 2 new tyres as they were looking a little thread bare. The member of staff, asked me it I wanted to replace the inner tubes (great upselling) which I agreed to that. Had a text early morning saying that the bike was ready to be collected.... This is great customer service.... So a huge thanks to Emily for being so proffesional, and easy to deal with, and to Charlie who I'm assuming is the person who repairs the bicycles for repairing my bike. Once again great service. ??

Ordered a pollen filter through app to be delivered to Widnes store. Excellent ordered, informed on stock and when Widnes had item told when I could pick it up.
Must mention Emily whilst we were there asked advice on other item. She is a credit to Halfords she took time to explain the item and other alternatives.

Great experience. Really fast at changing my bulbs and really friendly. I will definitely use Halfords again. Lost my phone and the young lady helped to find it, which I thought I left in the shop.

Went in widnes spoke with a lovely lady for new battery and fitting on 23rd Dec... said 5 min wait the young lad then fitted it all done and finished with in 15...20.mins 100% recommended.....thanks ( lady knew my reg more than I did haha ) ..thanks again from donna x

Efficient and friendly. My rear light had gone out and although it was just half an hour before closing the staff couldn't have been any more helpful.
