I went to WHSmith post office to exchange money I withdrew over 2 days at my local post office in sankey. I had been to the kiosk in the mall but WHSmith PO had a better rate for the euro. The young lady at the counter put one £20 to the side and said it was fake. I was shocked especially as I had withdrawn my money from Hood manor post office and no where else. All they let me do was take a picture of it by the mat on the counter. I had to pay the rest on bank card as I hadn't any more cash. I had no receipt for it from the post office to say they had taken the 20 from me. So basically the post office gave it to me then took it back so £20 vanished in mid air. Not happy about it one bit on principle. I understand it has to be taken out of circulation but where does that leave the customer. I have no bank in Warrington now the nearest is St. Helens. I thought I could trust the post office.

I cannot understand how these guys are still trading as they have not adapted to the way we shop now. It's a mix of stationary, magazines and books.

Where are the books?I had been into Waterstones a few doors down and decided to have a browse in WH Smith straight afterwards only to be greeted by a bookstore with barely any books!A small section stuffed into the corner at the front of the store was all I found. The rest of the store was toys, stationary, chocolate and magazines.A bookstore without any books? What next? KFC without any chicken?

What a dreadful experience , shop assistant thinks it?s ok to belittle and bully potential customers. Have put the stationary back, left the shop feeling anxious. Won?t happen again. I will shop elsewhere. I hope one day someone behaves as badly and aggressively to her

Called in to process passport in post office part. Really good customer service in the shop time and time again.

Most things in here are to be found cheaper elsewhere. Good selection of magazines and local walking books though.

Don't go in often enough to give a true review, but it sells all kind of stationary, I personally find it a little on the expensive side but like the saying goes...you get what you pay for
