Visit this store every so often to pick up a handful of essentials, the selection of products is really sub-par to the other grocery shops in the village. The staff are seemingly not very self-aware, there are frequently long queues with only one person serving, despite 2 or 3 other staff members restocking shelves or pretending to be busy elsewhere. Went in today to buy a bottle of wine and toothpaste and was asked for ID (I'm 32...). The bottle was a £12 red, what under 18 year old is buying that? Have some common sense. The woman serving was very abrupt after keeping me waiting in a long queue because she couldn't figure something out on the till with another customer, clearly needs an education in customer service. Anyway, left the shopping at the till and went to Corks Out (wine shop next door) and came out with two lovely, much higher quality bottles of wine. Will never go back.

Terrible customer service Shopping in this shop for 18 years never had this before been in a hospitality for 30+ years apparently the guy said he was the Manager I thing he needs some more training to how to speak to his customers time 21.45 he was doing shopping for him self he had problems with his staff discount card so we all had to queueing behind him

I do not normally write bad reviews , trust me I am being generous giving this store 1 star, the staff are rude, badly trained and have no concept of customer care and this if from someone who walking is painful but I would rather walk another 10 mins to another store

Very criendly helpful staff ...if you live here in stockton heath ...a god send when you have forgotten things and everywhere is shut and staff are soooo polite !!!!

This is one of the better local Sainsbury stores around, it stocks a good range of main brands and own brands and an adequate selection of fruit and veg. The aisle are spacious enough for two people to be able to easily pass and it's easy to find and get to the items that you want. The queues are never too long and the staff are friendly. Plus most importantly it is open late, until 11pm most nights making it very handy for popping in to pick up those forgotten items or something nice for tea.
