As a next employee, visiting a different store to where I work, I have had possibly the worst experience I could imagine, I have never experienced such poor management and the lack of responsibility on behalf of both staff at Gemini and customers. We were purchasing 3 larch pieces of furniture in the sale and took sale tickets to the till to be processed and bought, when approached by another customer arguing for the same piece of furniture we was purchasing. Even though our diclaimer forms were in the process of being filled out at the till, it was stopped due to staff not knowing what to do when another customer wasn?t the same thing. Surely the person at the till paying gets the item they want first! This to me is common sense. They then went to contact customer service as they were unable to resolve the situation between themselves ( including a manager) and we was told they had done this and watched cctv in the space of approximately 7 minutes. They then come to the solution, as the other customer was looking at the piece of furniture first upstairs, he has rights to purchase it over us, how bizarre, although we had been in that day, and days prior to just look at it. Purchasing and browsing are obviously different things may I add. We were then settled with a £50 gift card for the inconvenience which it was indeed. We were spoken to horrendously by the other customer and no member of staff intervened to stop the behaviour being threatened to us by this so-called man! I know for a fact this behaviour wouldn?t have been tolerated at the store I work at in Warrington also. The manager did not want to be involved in the whole process and was quick to assign us being served to another colleague, after us expressing we were not happy.
To conclude the experience, no apology was given

Just to add, there was 2 lovely ladies who got assigned to serve us and they did this with quickness and helpfulness, just shows that its staff in a higher position who need to brush up on their customer service and management skills

Why these people get jobs were serving customers and need to be polite i do not under stand get a job were your NOT facing the public and need to be friendly

Sorry Next fans, ???? but it's becoming a little same 'o' same 'o'.... I think if Costa hadn't strategically placed themselves within some of their stores, I don't think I'd bother. Every now and then, they have a brainwave, but Christmas to Christmas, sorry can't be bothered.
