We popped into Halfords Autocentre warrington, as there was a warning sign on my daughter?s car. Chris and the team could not have done enough to help us. They said would check with a diagnostic check straightaway for peace of mind as travelling to Derby! They were able to source the part and do the job straightaway! Fabulous friendly amazing service thanks so much ?highly recommended.

I prepaid and booked for an appointment at this garage, but when I arrived, they canceled on the spot with reason that fully booked for next 4 days( I checked and they still take booking for next days for same service on the website) and no immediate refund. There were empty bays available and staff chatting outside, which made the situation even more frustrating. They didn?t even care that I needed this service to pass my MOT test that same afternoon. I feel like my time and money were wasted, and I wouldn?t recommend this garage if you?re looking for reliable service.

Yesterday I booked a new tyre for 8am-10am today as we?re stuck down south after hitting a pothole
At 08:14 I get a call to say the tyre fitter can?t get there until 2pm-6pm.
We can?t do this slot as need to get back to Scotland. We are now having to pay £245 for a last minute booking for a local company.
Shocking service on their part, none of the customer service team seem to be able to support
Wouldn?t recommend booking a tyre or any service with them. It?s worth noting we?re near Lancaster but they?ve sent a tyre fitter from Warrington

Terrible experience. Awful garage. Do not use. Arrived a few mins late after pre booking. No one in garage but 10 workmen and refused to do pre paid MOT. Will not use Halfords again.

AVOID !! Scammers !
I had an mot done on my pegeout 207 atHalfords , they stated I needed two new tyres and a complete new exhaust fitted coming to £940
When I looked at the major defects on the mot it stated that the rear silencer bracket was broken - nothing mentioning my exhaust
The person at the reception said that exhausts can just rust from the inside out - The mechanic interrupted and said it was just the bracket , the hanger was at one level and the exhaust was dangling down .
I asked if I could just get the tyres done and the exhaust somewhere else but the receptionist said I had to get every done at Halfords
I told my friend who works in a garage and they said it?s a simple fix of a new bracket and someone to weld it on . Going to make a complaint

Don't use this garage! Halfords are only interested in ripping you off!
My girlfriend took her car for an MOT and was quoted £900 for repairs. Halfords claimed that several things were required for the MOT but they aren't (spark plugs, wheel alignment). They also claimed it required new handbrake cables, but these were later adjusted by a proper garage.
The staff are extremely unhelpful. I rang up to try and get a breakdown of the quote for labour times/parts required etc., but apparently they can't do that and are also unable to send a copy of the brake test... madness.
I ended up taking the car to another garage, £200 for the repairs and an MOT.
Please save yourself the stress & money, use another garage.

Asked them if they could replace my rear break pads as part of the ?breaks for life? deal having had breaks and discs done there before. Having recently had my car serviced at my local car dealer I was aware the pads needed changing but the discs were fine. Took it in for a free break health check to have the pads replaced and they tried to charge me for discs and pads at double the cost of other garages, claiming the discs were scored (same parts offered at alternative garage). So took it to a nearby garage who kindly demonstrated that the discs were absolutely fine and just needed the pads replacing. Such a shame they would be so unscrupulous
