Avoid going to this place!They only love your money ,charge you before doing any jobs and absolutely not good customer service !They have a small car park and drop your car anywhere they like even in another roads nearby at the end of the job and let you wander around and search everywhere for your car!They failed my MOT for a loose screw next to the battery!!and did not even bother to tighten it.then they wanted me going to another halford place and pay them so they use a screw driver and tighten it!Be ware! They give you a list of parts that you don?t see and over charge you for the parts ,specially if you are a woman or new driver or even new to their place .They only care about money and know people go there to pass mot and that?s the best time to fail mot for any simple reason and make them spend more with them and pay for expensive parts and labour.If I had gone to any other mot centre ,they wouldn?t have charged me before start of the job and of course they would have done small jobs at no extra cost .They send a car health report by email but blank in issues section!So car really had no issues but I gave me a failed mot paper to rub the money ?!

Drove 40 minutes with the hope of perfect service as Halfords garage in my hometown doesn't have good reviews. Dropped the car off at 11:30 and at 16:30 when called to pick the car up, they said they haven't even started the work. I was furious and just drove away. Wasted my whole day for nothing. Disappointing.

The lads did the job right, 1st time with no problems. Great work guys.The only 2 down sides of this fitting centre is parking is very restricted and looks like they have issues with neighbours and traffic wardens, and there is no waiting room to sit in whilst waiting for work to be done so you have to stand in a very old looking and tatty reception to keep warm and dry.

Rang me lest than 24 hours notice to cancelling my mot, not helpful at alternative dates or rearranging. Now had to spend time to find a different centreService: General repairs & maintenance

Absolutely unacceptable service. I felt taken advantage of after my MOT. Initially, I paid £90, only to be informed that I needed a new bumper. To my dismay, the solution provided was a hasty patch-up job with unsightly silver duct tape, held together by just two strips of tape. I had to address the flimsy duct tape myself by using my own duck tape and white tape for only £1.49, which not only adhered better but also blended seamlessly with my car's appearance.To make matters worse, it has been a full month, despite three follow-up phone calls and one email, and I am still awaiting a refund of over £200. I was significantly overcharged for a wishbone and suspension parts, which is completely unacceptable. What's particularly concerning is that when my partner accompanied me to inquire about the pricing, it was adjusted without delay.I can't help but wonder how many other women may have been overcharged in similar situations in the past. It's disheartening to note that Ben didn't take the initiative to research / match or adjust the pricing for the joints and suspension wishbone until my partner joined me. However, once he was present, the pricing issue was resolved promptly.It's incredibly frustrating that, after a month of waiting, I am still without the promised refund of over £200. This entire experience has left me profoundly dissatisfied.During the time my car was in for the MOT, I was called back on three separate occasions with corrected information. Various staff members added to my bill, citing new damages in a single evening. I had requested all the necessary repairs, only to find a taped bumper for £90 and an overcharge on suspension parts. This level of service is simply not acceptable.

The service quality it less than 0% I called them for emergency tyres change. They gave me a appoint after 2 days!!! Do you know what is flat tyre mean even?? Shall I carry my car to your shop??!!!! Absolutely horrible

Booked wheel check. Clearly, the check had not been done despite the car being there for 3 hours (I was originally told the check would take 1). Car hadn?t moved and check tyre light was still on. Checked tyres on way home and one clearly had a slow puncture. Why offer a service if you?re not going to do it?

Went today with slow puncture after ringing yesterday to check availability and was told to go anytime. Arrived to be told they couldn't possibly have said that the Manager told me to show him my phone history as I wouldn't have been told to just turn up. He then went to look at my car and came back to say why did I think I had a slow puncture? I told him that I have topped it up twice but its still loosing air. He went back out and found the offending nail. He ordered a new tyre and told me to come back later. On my return whilst waiting for the tyre to be fitted another woman came in with her partner to complain that she has been overcharged. He promptly gave her a 50% refund. Any ladies reading this avoid going there alone if you want to avoid being treated as a second class citizen!

Disappointing.............i had arranged to have my car MOT carried out, arrived in plently of time to then be told they tried to call me in the morning (once at 0745) to cancel my booking ( "could not get hold of me" but did not leave any message......????).There had already been issues when booking, initially told me i was booked in, and then not, and back to yes i have been booked in with a confirmation. Will not consider Halfords for an MOT in the future........

Refused to carry out an MOT and full service as the boot of my car wasn?t empty. When I offered to return to the garage and empty it for them they refused and informed me I?d missed my slot.Unable to rebook despite there being slots available and the manager had no interest in being helpful, even failing to produce a receipt for the refund. I?ve booked with Halfords for the last time.

Alex and Tom were super helpful when one of the warning lights for my brakes came on in my car. I wasn't booked in, but they had my brakes checked and the brake fluid topped up in no time and I haven't had an issue since! Thank you ?

Booked My car in for a simple wheel alignment and after being left at the garage for 3 hours was told the machine was not working so came back and collected and rearranged a different day. Arrived on the new date for them to tell me the machine is still not working, would have been nice to receive a call or an email to let me know of the situation before wasting my time again. Asked for a refund and now have to wait to receive the money back. Great service guys ??

Took my car here for a replacement clutch back in April 2023. All seemed fine, until i went for a service and MOT at a different local garage. Turns out, one of the gearbox nuts had not been replaced when the clutch was changed, resulting in an oil leak from the gearbox. I had been driving around completely clueless for over 2 months in a unsafe car due to shoddy craftsmanship.

Took my car here for MOT today. Told then that my NS headlight bulb had blown. Paid them to supply AND FIT the headlight bulb before MOT. An hour later and I get a call saying my car is ready. Failed on NS headlamp pattern. Took it away and went to Fords to investigate the issue. THE BULB I PAID FOR THEM TO FIT HAD BEEN FITTED UPSIDE DOWN. are they having a laugh?? Do not waste your time with these Haynes manual mechanics. It's like a wild west garage.

DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR MOT. The tester is more concerned about meeting the advisory qouta then doing a fair test. Partner requested any issues to be reported to her before failed so they can be resolved to ensure the cars history is kept clean. They even did a pre test. Test result 2 advisories 1. Nail in tyre. 2. Front break pads wearing thin (however the fail limit is 1.5 so it's a pass not an advisory) contacting DVSA to have this clown looked at closely. Unfortunately I am a QC and clowns who test it these places give genuine testers a bad name. If you had done your job properly you would have had a set of tyres and brakes in your till rather than a complaint to head office and a DVSA investigation. Prats!
