We recently visited while camping nearby. It was a Monday night so unsurprisingly a bit quiet, but the guy serving behind the bar was great. He was very friendly and chatty, dead helpful too with local knowledge. The pub weren't serving food that night but he let us eat food we'd ordered from over the road in the pub. Would definitely recommend ?

This is a great place to hang out and eat. Awesome staff, friendly people in the pub, and its dog friendly which helps when youre travelling!

Visited this pub a few times during a recent trip to the area. The staff were really friendly, and welcoming of our toddler being with us.
We had food one afternoon which was great value for money, and the beers are reasonably priced.
The atmosphere was spot on, and they have a good sized beer garden too for those sunny days.

We visited today not long after opening, it was a little quiet but I suspect everyone was saving themselves for the England match later tonight !
The food was spot on, can highly recommended the Fish & Chips & the Beef Sunday Roast was lovely. Proper home made food & the roast potatoes were a 10/10! Could not fault the service either, really friendly staff. It?s a good 45 minute trip for us, but we will definitely visit again.
