Room was good, some maintenance work needed - peeling ceiling above the shower in 326.Room service was fast, salt and pepper were missing from the tray, but food was good.

Stayed on a spa package, treatment was lovley, lunch was nice, room was fabulous with huge balcony. I'd definitely come back.Rooms: Stayed in deluxe suite, which was fabulous, loads of room, bed huge, nice coffee machine, and big mirrored wardrobe.Food & drinks: Sandwiches were lovleyDinner nice, but priceyBreakfast good.

Rooms: I paid for an upgraded room only to find that the room was in a state , a hole in the wall where the door had been repeatedly slammed against it. No amenities in the bathroom, just empty shells on the wall where they should be. The trousers press was snapped in half and the curtains were ripped. I really wasn't happy with my experience and made a complaint to MacDonald hotels three weeks ago, we have had no response at all.We got married in a MacDonald hotel and came back for nostalgia. All we ended up with was a night of other guests screaming in the hallway with no intervention from hotel staff.If you want to waste £400 book a night at the portal ?Food & drinks: We paid for the Half board and breakfast package. The food was "par" especially when I had to pay an extra £70 towards the "half board".The breakfast was a £25 extra, I ordered the breakfast roll which consisted of 1 piece of bacon and sausage on a dry semi stale roll. My wife ordered eggs Benedict and we were made to pay for the meal before hand as there was a further surcharge. Not the best food experience as the advertising was for half board came with Ryanair extra prices.Noteworthy details: I can't speak for the other rooms in the hotel however ours was in a poor state.My only plus would be that the hotel is clean, I would recommend a Village hotel.

Room was comfy and clean, tho bathroom a little tired. Food, drinks and service all good. Loved the spa, especially the relaxation room and complimentary teas! Pool area also a little tired - ceiling paint is crumbling and parts of the steam rooms had loose tiles. Mamy lockers out of order and fiddly to figure

The way in which my wife was spoke to by (Amy?) was shocking.There were multiple package offers?but we weren?t told our options and ended up paying £80 more for LESS treatments!?No offers of compensation (in any capacity) just rude, dismissive and condescending.

We stayed as part of a 60th birthday celebration for my girlfriend. I?d requested an upgrade, which we got. The room was excellent. We had full body Elemis massages at the spa that were amazing. We had snacks at the bar area, very nice roo. The meal in the restaurant was top notch. Breakfast was ok, the service was a bit hap hazard. Why bring you toast without butter then wait an age for it when requested is baffling. Not being able to charge to the room was a pain having to wait to settle bar drinks and meal bills. Overall though we thoroughly enjoyed our stayNoteworthy details: Fabulous Elemis Spa, great staff, surroundings and the best full body massage.

This hotel was lovely, the staff were friendly and grounds were beautiful.I only gave it 4 stars as my breakfast came out wrong for the 2 mornings I had with them, other than that it was great!Rooms: The rooms were lovely and the bed was comfortable. Our room had a shower and a bath, which was nice!Nearby activities: We came for our anniversary weekend and this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. A taxi into Northwich was £20 each way!! Note to self, think of this when booking future hotels haha

A great place to relax and enjoy the facilities with beautiful views. The only niggle was the background music in the bar was a little dated and repetitive.Rooms: Spacious rooms with really comfy beds.Food & drinks: Great food. Very plentiful and really tasty
