What a hidden gem.
As we were staying close by we just had to try Lynda?s cake and tea room.
Two lovely ladies are working extremely hard in a very competitive market to provide you with good honest home cooked food and cake.
Unfortunately these places are few and far between and are being replaced by chain coffee shops etc.
If you get chance pay these ladies a visit and sample some of their delicious food, cake and hospitality.
When we?re next in the area we will make a point of going to Lynda?s again.

We came today for a private event for afternoon tea and it was gorgeous! All the staff were so friendly and attentive. The cakes were absolutely delicious! Thank you all so much we had such a lovely afternoon. I would highly recommend coming here!

Sent a message through Facebook messenger, many months back. I understand that places get busy etc, but to not respond at all was a little disappointing. I also understand that what I was enquiring about may have been something that cannot be provided, but again, no response is a bit sad.

Went as part of a group of 12 for lunch. Lovely atmosphere and decor, great food, gorgeous cakes and friendly staff. Car park directly outside, no steps, just the door threshold to get over. The toilet is in a separate building but I didn't use the facilities so can't comment on how accessible.

Took Mum for surprise birthday breakfast after reading reviews. Booked beforehand to guarantee a table given that it is popular. Parked right by door and were shown straight to table as soon as we arrived. Order was taken after enough time to have studied the menu. Drinks arrived quickly then food came. We had breakfasts and scrambled eggs with salmon/bacon. Food and plates were both piping hot.
It was clear so many people go back as the atmosphere was friendly and the staff were clearly welcoming regulars too.
We were served by a lovely young lad who took orders efficiently. All the staff were lovely and will definitely go back - well worth the trip. Dog friendly too!

Hidden in a black Nissan Hut in the carpark of the Saugall Vernon Institute ( the village hall) is a superb old fashioned tea room. It's old fashioned because the food, service and atmosphere are all wonderful. It would not surprise me if a Spitfire pilot walke in after a "sortie"!
Everything is home made, fresh and tasty. Cakes are great and the afternoon tea is a real treat.
This cafe is our "local" and everytime we take friends to Linda's everybody says, without exception how much they love it. And, there is plenty of free parking. Brilliant place.
