After ActiveNation closed, I gave Puregym a go. Really good location, staff are friendly and lots of choice of equipment. I'm surprised by how quiet it is sometimes too, it means I can do my exercises without waiting around.

I?m 67 and walked to this gym to make enquiries about it and what different options I could have, equipment it had etc. I couldn?t get in as you had to be a member to access the building, the hallway had various posters with scan codes, there was a press button for assistance on the wall which I pressed 6 times waiting around 7 minutes but nobody came to my assistance so left. Would of been nice to talk to someone there for some advice but obviously their too busy for more custom.

The gym itself is good. Generally clean and well laid out. Could do with more natural light but there?s a large car park, it?s on two floors so lots of equipment with separate exercise studio and spin space. The thing I like most though, is the classes. The fact they are included in the monthly subscription fee, varied, frequent and reliable; is terrific. The best thing about this gym is the PTs and instructors though. They make every session an experience. Briony, Charles, Jack and new manager Leigh are all exceptional.

Decent puregym. Avoid 5-6pm as always, or else you?ll struggle to find empty machines. Some showers used to be out of order but I see that they fixed it quickly.

First day in the gym was not good, I got there around 5:25 AM and gym was already crowded, not because there were many people but because gym is simply small. No windows gives the feeling of working out in a warehouse, a few large screens could bring some positive mood to this dark place.
Most equipment were okay but just about average.
Somehow management decided to do the cleaning right in the peak time when people use change rooms most.
Cleaner was on his phone literally all the time that I was there.
Showers were good but only 4 of them and all in black, shower in black? why?!!!
Some of the lockers were broken and most of them were rusty and need to be painted.
the best advantage of this gym is it's price and of course you get what you paid for.
I just cancelled my membership and would not recommend this to anyone who can afford to pay a little bit extra.
