No one was at reception when we arrived. Another member of staff had to go find the receptionist. When she did finally arrive she couldn't find our booking then when she did she said it hadn't been paid for when it had been paid by apple pay at the time of booking. Insisted that the car registration was needed and when my college arrived and gave it to her, she said it didn't matter. By the time we got to the room, we had missed an important Zoom meeting because of the delay. Which I had told them about at reception at the time. and was the main reason why we had booked the room. The bottom of the bathroom door was damaged. Velcro stuck to the bottom left hand side and painted over. I have no idea why but very unsightly. Rust colour stains on the net/voil curtains and the picture above the bed was upside down, which drove me nuts. The overlay sticker on the phone has either been stuck on badly or is long over due a change. Only 2 sachets of tea/coffee and not enough milk to go with them. Kettle took far too long to boil. I'm told there should have been biscuits, too. Not in this room. Reception took 8 minutes to answer the phone. The room was 106.

Stayed here with work. Standard Holiday Inn, complete with cobwebs around the lift door. Have deducted a couple of points due to on arrival, they had unbooked my room and sold it - despite the booking saying to hold the room for a late arrival. Still, where else would give you a free beer at 0300?!Reception very apologetic and helpful thereafter. To the hotel management, perhaps a bonus to the fella on nights a couple of weeks ago. He saved you from a blisteringly bad review.

Nice place for short stay. Service is good. Have pool table and live telecast of sports events on multiple televisions. They also have small area with lot of toys for infants.

We decided to book this hotel because it had a sauna and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi did not work and the women's changing rooms were closed for renovations so there was no sauna either. Since there were no changing room, we had to take all our belongings to the pool and the pool attendant came to tell us that we had to take our towels and clothes from the chairs to put them in a corner on the floor... result: 9 empty chairs and a corner full of everyone's belongings on the wet floor... disaster.

The staff are so accommodating and friendly, lovely hotel, free car park, leisure club with swimming pool, bar, restaurant.Great breakfast to set you up for the day,Great meeting & banqueting facilities too.

Just stayed in the IHG holiday inn in Runcorn only one night however it made a change to stay in a hotel that delivered ,staff friendly and helpful ,room nice and clean ,room included an iron and board (didn?t have to to reception to find one) tea coffee facilities ,nice comfy bed ( you do have a choice if you wish for soft or firm pillows) and great walk in shower , breakfast was really good nice and hot and plenty of choice, cooked breakfast ,muffins ,crumpets ,continental, breakfast pancakes ,yoghurt even gluten free breakfast is 7:30-10:30 and we went down around 9:00 it was hot , the only downside was telephone in room not working but they were being updated, the bar is pricey compared to outside pubs and could do with a information folder on hotel pool, tv working , reception number outside amenities ie local shop, restaurant, pub etc anyone tracing this place has a gym and pool and a great machine if you need charger , shampoo, toiletries or you child forget teddy nice little touch (or adult lol) thank you

Bedrooms were basic, windows weren't sealed and room was chilly even with the thermostat set at 23. It looked like there had been water coming in as there were stains and grit around the window. Bar prices are very high, 2 double G&Ts £29.70. Food very standard. Staff didn't know how to get to the health centre and signs all had arrows facing up!

Very satisfactory stay at the hotel, my evening tapas meal was very tasty and I enjoyed it.The TV in room was not working properly the antenna had a sloppy poor fit, only sound and no picture in the morning.Rooms: Reasonably room, no hot chocolate ? only tea and coffee.Nice chocolate bar a note to acknowledge my IHG membership, that was nice ?Shower head was not the best, probably a result of both the design and lime scale which resulted in low water flow, but nevertheless I was still able to shower adequately.Food & drinks: This hotel has a reasonably good variety of food offerings.I chose from the Tapas style menu and ate in the bar area whilst enjoying a couple of pale ales.
