It?s difficult to know where to begin with this review, but the short version is: I took my car to Halfords Runcorn for a routine replacement of front brake pads and discs, and ended up without my car for over three months due to their negligence. When I finally got it back, it had a dent on the rear passenger side?and Halfords is now refusing to pay for the damage.
The long version involves:
? A technician failing to put the car into service mode, which blew the ABS sensor and ultimately required a full ABS unit replacement.
? Appalling customer service, including broken promises, ignored emails, and a complete lack of accountability from both the Centre Manager and the Regional Manager.
? Delays and miscommunication, with Halfords ignoring Mazda?s diagnostics and attempting unsafe repairs to avoid paying the £7,000 replacement cost.
? A complete disregard for my safety, as they tried to cut corners and delay resolution.
? Failure to collect the car from Mazda, despite being informed I was away and had requested they handle the pickup.
? Visible damage to the rear passenger side of the vehicle upon return, which they have refused to acknowledge or repair despite photographic evidence and multiple follow-ups.
This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I?ve never encountered such a disgraceful level of service, dishonesty, and lack of professionalism. I strongly advise anyone considering Halfords for vehicle servicing to think twice?especially if you value your time and safety

Credit were credit is due, turned up last Friday morning with a screw in my tyre after being already turned away from 2 other garage?s because they were to busy, the customer service was excellent from start to finish, managed to fit me in whilst I waited. ?

Excellent efficient service at a fair price. The staff were extremely helpful and completed a brake fluid change and replaced the wiper blades quickly. Will certainly be using again.

Absolute stars!!! dogs were locked in the boot on a very hot day as the key fob would not open it.
The staff were very helpful and sorted the battery for it

Halfords Runcorn for a service and diagnostic check. I've been coming Halfords Runcorn for a few years now, always greeted with great energy and positivity, and equally when I leave. I find the works completed cost effective and also like the ability to be able to spread the cost.
I'm also a premium club member where I receive discounts in the garage and in store.

Had my car mot yesterday passed but I know the car had a few issues ie bulbs out this was not mentioned to replace did they actually check is there anything else they missed is my car actually safe busy garage so have they just rushed it through the advisorys they did give they wont fix as they dont do my make of car ?? Although kyle was very welcoming and did keep me informed (thanks kyle) .The other thing is i paid with cash manager not happy and demanded I paid with card when I said no as I have saved this money by taking it out of bank because on budget he pulled his face then said they don't have change £5 kyle then took money out of his own pocket and gave me the change due. Cash is still a viable way of paying for things and I'm sure I'm not the only person who prefers to use cash than cards?
