Visited this place and even though it was recommended we were totally disappointed in how long it took the food to arrive after our order! There were at least 3 staff on so could not understand why it took so long (nearly 45 minutes) for something so simple as scramble egg on toast. It wasn't as if they were mega busy. We were ready for walking away! The young girl who served us was really pleasant and well mannered - but I will never be going here again because of the wait for the food. We weren't the only ones commenting how long it was taking.

Met my wife from Work to go to FJ?s in Runcorn shopping city for lunch. we ordered sausage on toast, bacon on toast with no fat on the bacon when the bacon on toast arrived, there was still a load of fat on it
So I couldn?t eat it when I mentioned this when we was paying The cook/owner said he wasn?t told but my wife and I clearly heard the waitress tell him no fat on the bacon
The way the cook/owner talks to his staff and his customers is completely unacceptable. Has he just dismissed it and blamed the waitress? I?m very surprised he?s got staff with the attitude he?s got

Amazing place!! The older lady with grey/blonde hair has amazing customer service and always smiley welcoming face! Tip her every time I come to this restaurant she really is a credit to the team! A pay rise is needed for this lady !

I went with my mum on saturday the 29th June 2024.
My mum is very ill, and is in a wheelchair. We decided to sit outside so it was easier for her so she would have some quality room. I don't know if any staff members saw us arrive, but I had to go out of my own way and move furniture around so I could get a space to put my mum so she was comfortable, this should be the staff not any customers.
When we sat down there wasn't any sign saying it was table service so you don't know whether to sit and wait or go up to the counter.
An older lady who worked there was okay, not great but just okay, she told me its table service so i happily went and took a seat.
I ordered a bender in a bun, and my mum ordered a toasted tea cake, my mum said "do you not want chips with it?" So I said oh yes chips aswel please, i shouldn't of said that as clearly it almost sent the staff member over the edge having to add chips to the order.
Soon after her cup of tea arrived, she enjoyed it, my milkshake didn't. About 5 minutes later one of the girls shouted "strawberry milkshake anyone" So i said "oh yes that would be me please love" to her surprise she came over with her face almost tripping her up. She put it down and me and my mum both grinned.
My mum later said "im still hungry would you be able to grab the nice waitress which was our sarcasm because none of the waitresses were nice at all.
I said to one of the Girls "hi love sorry, her reply was.. YES. Hi is it possible for my mum to get another toasted tea cake please" i really shouldnt of asked because she huffed grabbed the cheque and wrote down another tea cake.
She later brought the other tea cake out and instead of removing the old plate she just placed the new onto the older plate.
My mum is very ill she has a brain tumour, and all we ever want to do is go out and have a lovely time. We don't want very rude staff who dont want to be there pulling faces having attitude. Ive worked in hospitality and you can either make it the best job in the world or the worst it depends how your mind is.
I understand they always have to deal with disabled people but disabled people never asked to be in a wheelchair, my mum never asked for a brain tumour which has crippled her.
So my honest advice. IF YOU TRULY DONT WANT TO BE A WAITRESS THEN DO NOT WORK THERE. Its a shame because the food is always lovely, and when it used to be the wimpy it was absolutely amazing it was fun, the staff were amazing and it felt like a proper day out. Now it just feels like when we go to FJS, we cant wait to leave.
We will come back one more time, but if nothing changes next time we will find someplace else.

Looking for an ideal cafe this isn?t the place. Food was diabolical honestly haven?t ate worst food in my life best part about the mega breakfast is the beans and to top it off fresh orange juice was cordial £20 for 2 plates off rubbish I wouldn?t leave a review if it wasn?t as bad as it was.

Wow what an experience it brought back memories of an old restaurant experience, the Wimpy experience, and to find that these do various meals and breakfasts.The menu is actually on the tabletop so it's just basically look at the table and decide on what you would like, they then cook your desired meal and drink that you have selected and then give you a Pink slip which you then provide to the Cashier at the end to settle up, well its either that or get ready to do a lot of dishes lol ?.Wow amazing staff who are happy and friendly and are willing to help with any unique requirements you may have. Thanks guys I will be back.
