Bit grubby. No real ales. No fire going on a snowy winters day. Probably ok for breakfast as next door is a Premier Inn. Certainly not a destination pub.

Food absolutely disgusting. Here for my birthday 6th Jan. Had a chicken flatbread. The chicken was a piece of chicken that was cooked from frozen. Wasnt cooked enough. So poor.!!

We went before visiting the lights st Chester Zoo. Booked our table for 5pm, we were seated straight away, and the server was great. The menu was a bit rubbish as a lot wasn't available. It was very empty, so there was no atmosphere other than the football score being shouted out across the bar.
Hubby said that the steak was excellent !
Parking: You must register your car on arrival to avoid charges.

Has our family Christmas day dinner here, it was superb food, great service and staff were always on hand, staff had a busy day but delivered an unbelievable service

I went here for christmas day with 3 elderly. We were waiting in a queue for 45 minutes/1 hour, after having a table reserved for 3.30pm. We were then sat at our table and waited another hour for our starter to arrive. Attached is the image of the starter I received. There was no one at the bar numerous times I went up to get drinks, (as no staff going around asking for drinks), and the food was warm/luke warm and clearly a meal from frozen. On Christmas Day, this was an unacceptable amount of time to wait for a table and then food that we had paid for. I did not eat my main course for the turkey was shaped like rectangles like a kids lunch box meal, the veg was dry and the potatoes were frozen preprepared potatoes (aunt bessies vibes). The only positive was the yorkshire pudding, which was home made and delicious, and the only part I ate completely. I would not suggest going here for Christmas day as for £75 a head, this was disgraceful.

I would like to thank Emma and her team (Lily too) who went above and beyond in looking after us. I could see that the team were up against it and under intense pressure to make everyone's day enjoyable, but their professionalism shone through and we were treated excellently and the food was lovely too.

Arrived at 10:30 and asked for a table for two
Staff member informed us the breakfast sitting was closed
When I queried this because website says open until 11am he then said there were no tables free
Saw at least 4 free tables
Piss poor attitude and from a manager too
Guess they employ anyone these days

Free mixer with spirts! No they charge you for it and tell you it not available in that branch. Charged extra for wrong drink but did get refunded the difference but never got money back for mixers even though it states FREE on menu. Very poor show!
