Visited this shop to get a bracelet alteration on a watch.
As I don't know this chap from Adam, I asked him for a receipt while I left the watch with him (It's expensive). He flatly refused, stating that he had MILLIONS OF POUNDS WORTH OF STOCK and he wasn't going anywhere. He said he didn't have the time to be writing out receipts as he was really busy (He wasn't).
He came across as incredibly unprofessional and unnecessarily unhelpful, a bit of a prick to be fair. Good luck running your business in this manner... you'll need it.

I recently sold some old coins at the shop. The staff were professional and friendly, offered me a fair price, and paid quickly. I'd be happy to do business there in the future.

Finding a lovely loose Amethyst I had to find someone that could give me the best investment looking like I might wear it. Giving this team my preference I got the lovely investment that I have worn to special jaunts. As I?d found him I had to get another one updated from white gold to platinum and he did it too. Certs provided for insurance so investments covered. Thankyou team.

I recently visited Christopher Evans Jewellers in Poynton to purchase a wedding ring for myself, and my experience was nothing short of excellent. From the moment I walked through the door, the atmosphere was warm and inviting.Nicky was incredibly friendly and attentive, taking the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. I never felt rushed or pressured, and it was evident that customer satisfaction is a top priority here. The extensive range of options was impressive, and their expertise really shone when they offered helpful suggestions tailored to my preferences and budget.Quality is clearly of the utmost importance at Christopher Evans; the ring I chose is beautifully crafted and fits perfectly. But what made my experience truly exceptional was the personalized service. It's not just about making a sale here; it's about building relationships and ensuring you walk out completely satisfied with your purchase.I couldn't be happier with my new wedding ring and the experience as a whole. Used this jewellers a few months ago to create a bespoke necklace. Despite the final product being lovely, the service was appalling. It ruined what should have been an enjoyable experience designing and getting excited about bespoke jewellery for our mother. So, because of this, I wouldn't recommend this jewellers.
Even though we were told often that they would keep us updated, send us a CAD prototype design, etc. this never happened, and we were forced to ring/email numerous times to see if/when the necklace would be ready, what it would look like, etc. We were also told multiple times that we were 'getting the necklace for a steal', to the point where I told Evans it was getting too much. After all, they are the experts, and if the value doesn't reflect the budget, it's their responsibility to inform us and adjust as necessary, or give us a more accurate estimate.
Furthermore, when I said this to Evans, he retorted that I was 'micromanaging' the project and need to let him 'get on with it'. It seems he clearly missed the irony that I, the client, had been forced to manage the project because they had failed to do so.
Finally, the day after when I picked the product up, I confronted Evans and, politely, advised him not to speak to future customers like he had done to me again. His response? "I've always been like this and a few people have said that to me, but I'll never change for anyone". Says it all really. Arrogant, condescending and entitled.

I had a ring redesigned here. The ring itself is stunning. Genuinely stunning.
However I cannot recommend the customer service. The communication throughout was minimal which, whilst frustrating, was acceptable. However, the ring I sent in had 10 diamonds. The ring which was returned had 9. I had to call to find out where my other diamond was.
I understand mistakes happen. Fortunately once I called, my diamond was returned to me. However the customer service was still well below par. I was informed it was ?not malicious as the diamond was chipped and therefore had not value?.
I understand to some people a diamond is insignificant. A chipped diamond even more so. However it is an heirloom and it has sentimental value and this seems to have been totally overlooked & forgotten and no appreciation for how the situation may have impacted me. It?s unfortunate that I cannot recommend the jewellers as the work is fantastic, however I cannot in good conscience recommend a jewellers that returned a ring with one less diamond than it went in with, without any advance notice or real explanation other than ?oops?.

We purchased a gold chain today from Christopher Evans and we are very happy with our purchase.We have used Christopher Evans for many years, from an engagement ring to our wedding rings and other pieces of jewellery, the staff are always very accommodating and helpful.Excellent craftmanship and service, highly recommended.
