Used to be really good - had a nice artisan feel to the food and surroundings. Today we sat in a plastic roofed outhouse eating lukewarm food off paper plates with disposable cutlery - the whole thing felt cheap. To the (I assume new) owner; stop selling knick knacks, reestablish the restaurant in the brick building and get a proper chef, or you won?t last.

Genuinely worried for the welfare of the pig at this place. It literally has less space than the guinea pigs. It?s in the worlds smallest enclosure (brick building on your left as soon as you go in to the grounds) so it can?t see anything other than the walls, it?s completely alone away from the rest of the farm, no enrichment and I just feel like it?s living the sadness most lonely life ever which is why I have given 2 stars as I feel the animal?s welfare needs to be considered a lot more. The place itself is free to get in, a little play area, beautiful views, great food, funny emus that chase you alongside the fence, not wheelchair friendly, there?s an area with small ride ons but they are mostly broken- but the place is free! The pig REALLY needs to be considered here though. It?s heartbreaking to see.

Stunning views, but the worst milkshakes we've had in years.

A little more 'basic' than the wife and I had thought. Basically a yard covered with a wood frame and perspex. Food and drinks served on paper plates. Food was nice and hot, but cooled quickly as eating area was pretty cool.Overall, a nice place especially if you have kids as they have a pig you can say hi to, a play area and events in summer.Parking: Parking in field next to farm. May get pretty muddy in wet weather.

Breakfast with Father Christmas eventReally disappointed considering we spent over £60 all in. :( Father Christmas appeared for all of 2 minutes. Not a Christmassy atmosphere whatsoever and could tell the other families there thought the same. Food was really good though as always. I usually love Riverside and I visit all year round with my son but I will be avoiding similar events and going elsewhere

You have to go here to appreciate what a fantastic little enclave it is with superb views over the fields. Lots of farm animals and tables on both the field and in the heated indoor shelter in the winter. There is also a little play area for small kids and a larger adventure park down the footpath for older children. The Food is great and you?re given a bleeper which tells you when your food is ready.

Lovely little farm shop with a few animals, you can buy feed from the shop which gives you a chance to get them up close. Fantastic for the little ones.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly with two play areas. One for small children and one for the bigger kids. Kid safe food and drink options as well.

Had many visit?s here but have to say this visit was rather disappointing! Lovely breakfast the egg was burnt so we have to eat with wooden knives and forks now which was quite impossible try to cut through thick bacon. What I found rather distressing was the condition of the chickens and Guinea pig areas. Poor things had no food or grass to nibble, I was horrified to see their filthy drinking water containers covered in green algae.

Hadn't been for a few years and was disappointed. The food was ok but it was like a takeaway. Everything in paper or cardboard boxes. The last time I visited it was a lovely place with proper crockery and cutlery. Will not be going again.

I took my 3 year old grandson here today. What a fabulous time we had! He saw lambs, sheep, a pig, goats, geese, a donkey, emus and guinea pigs. The playground was great fun and for me, the view was wonderful. We only had drinks and ice creams so I can't comment on the food. The girls who served us were very friendly. We will definitely be back! 5*Kid-friendliness: Super for kids of all ages.Parking: Plenty on a weekday during school holidays.
