Do not succumb to the sales pitch!Being a current client of Applewood Independent, it's particularly awkward writing a review of this nature. However if I wasn't locked in I would take the opportunity to leave Applewood. Accepting that the last few years have been quite extraordinary, before taking the decision to invest with Applewood Independent please think twice. I made this mistake a couple of years ago and my portfolio has made significant losses.Unfortunately, it has subsequently come to the light that the verbal promises made were merely part of a well rehearsed sales pitch. Given the current situation and recent developments, my case is proceeding through the Ombudsman due to a number of potential misrepresentations and omissions. Thankfully digital recordings exist. I should also highlight that although my investments have made significant losses, both Applewood and Fidelity continue to take their commission - it would appear they are the only winners here!

Since we have been with them, we have been very impressed by their professionalism, proactiveness and responsiveness. Anyone you contact in the office is courteous and is quick to answer or resolve any queries/ issues you have. Alex, his Dad and the team obviously have a detailed understanding of the markets and the funds best to invest in. At the end of the day though, the real measure of an IFA is how your assets perform when in their control. We have been more than happy with that. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
