Had the misfortune of having to stay in room 1
The room stunk like a wet dog ! Music blasting out in the room below so phoned down to ask for it to stop at 11pm and tbf the music stopped but the raised voices continued until nearly 2am ? on a Monday night and I had to be up for work at 6.
The breakfast ? was possibly the worst excuse I?ve ever seen, a slice of toast and a glass of juice. No staff members anywhere to be seen to raise my concerns with hence this review.

Lovely old building, had a quiet pint with the mrs and a great nights sleep, i definitely prefer this over the travel lodge. The service was amazing and the room is closer to town and has a warmer more archaic feel to it, we didn't get to thank the staff as we had to leave early but I hope they know how appreciated their amenities were 10/10 will definitely be visiting again

First time here - brought by my brother (we're 94 and 81 but live far apart so we want to make the best of it). BHH was a bit chaotic and packed but the staff were helpful, we really enjoyed our stacked up meals, and there was a good atmosphere to relax and chat!

Rooms are standard and functional. The fact that it is a pub is a bonus as the food and drinks are great value and you get a great choice. Only issue was the traffic noise during the early hours of the morning in certain rooms.Food & drinks: The food is standard pub grub, you get a good portion for a great price.

Made a booking but when I arrived they said they were fully booked and there were no rooms. I was left in the middle of Cheshire without accommodation. They were not even apologetic. Do not book online.

Unfortunately we only had chance to look around because the Guinness that my Husband ordered tasted off,the barman was apologetic and said he had no other complaints even though he had said there wouldn't be a head on the beer.

Had an outstanding experience at the boars head,Always very welcoming and serve delicious food.The ribs and lasagne are a must.
