A lovely building in a great position. Staff very friendly and the pub itself had a good feel to it. Food in the evening was good. A few negatives though. Our room was lovely on ground floor of the headmasters house. No TV but that not an issue, however the bedside lamps were so dim, wasn't able to read as an alternative. Other very noisy guests kept us awake from 2.30am for over an hour running up and down stairs, banging doors and shouting.

Went for the overnight stay with gin tasting ? great experience, rooms were lovely and clean, food was very nice ans staff were great, would highly recommend.

Turned up for a car club night...So it was very busy....Not much fish in the fish pie with nothing on the side !.. Sons's steak and kidney pie looked good though..Helpful staff

The pub was busy but you weren't rushed.
The staff were friendly & attentive.

Stopped at the Cholmondeley Arms today on my way up the A49.
Beautiful place,really nicely restored...and was served by a great team of staff,who were most kind,attentive and friendly.
Location is for me,excellent.
Parking is plentiful,..and the food we ordered(pulled pork bbq burger& haddock& chips with mushy peas: delicious.

Very poor service, know that they look after there regulars and we were waiting 30 mins for a drink and other people goy served first, the food was awful and slow and the Thai curry was very hot and and was vinegar smell just not my cup of tea but certainly won't be back in a hurry ?

Had a lovely lunch here on Saturday with my full compliments all round from the front of house to the kitchen and the presentation which is quietly brave imo in skewing away from the overtly ? country pub?. Can?t wait to go back, the risotto currently on the menu is absolutely fantastic

Great place for a great Sunday lunch. Meal was lovely and the staff were very friendly. If I'm ever in the area again will definitely revisit.

Lovely pub with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Excellent food, wide selection of real ales, Gins, etc. Very dog friendly - thoroughly enjoyable stay & hope to come again.
