It's a in a good position. Surprisingly quiet and convenient for breakfast in next door Starbucks. The first room we were allocated had a smell. We asked for a different room and were quickly allocated one. The outside lighting needs repair. Otherwise a typical Travel lodge offering.

Arrived later on, once I climbed the stairs the distinct smell of damp was apparent. Once in the room, looking into the bathroom the sealant of the bath had seen better days and the inside of the bath had a funny tinge of yellow. I was asked to be moved to another room to be told they?re fully booked. It?s a shame because the staff were lovely.

Pretty good place for an overnight stay. Easy drive to the airport. The rooms are basic. You get what you pay for. No restaurant available except a Starbucks in the premise and a vending machine inside. For any food and drinks, got to visit Poynton which is a 5 mins drive. Overall good stay.Rooms: Basic and value for money.Nearby activities: None. You got to go to Poynton.Food & drinks: None available inside.

Stayed for a couple of days at the Adlington travel lodge because of a family bereavement. Jenny was very helpful, and happy to arrange local taxis etc. Nice and quiet location.Nearby activities: There is a Starbucks next door which is handy. The village of Poynton is not too far away, and the hotel is relatively close to two railway stations.

As with many Travelodges, they are looking a bit tired and frayed around the edges. In saying that, the room was perfectly serviceable, clean and comfortable.Don't bother with the breakfast box as there is a Starbucks on site that will serve you better. But the star of this Travelodge is Jenny! Masterful behind the desk at reception, she'll put you right with any queries you may have.

My partner and I booked this hotel in a last-minute rush as we needed somewhere to stay after a gig. We couldn't find anywhere else that was reasonably priced and we weren't able to stay at our usual location, so we decided on staying here. Booking was easy and the photos of the rooms suggested they were clean and fresh, so we thought we'd got a good deal. When we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the lady in the reception area who let us know how to get in when we came back late and that she'd be there if we needed anything at any time. She is the reason I gave 3 stars, but without her my review would certainly be less than that. When we got into the room (a family room), I opened the curtains to find dead flies and dust covering the windowsill. The room smelled clean, but what we could see was the opposite. On the floor, there were multiple stains/damage to the carpet, while in the bathroom there were still items from the previous customer in the bin. The bath had pink stains in it too, and the toilet seat was covered in splash marks, meaning I couldn't sit down to relieve myself and instead hovered, as all women forced to use dirty toilets do! Lastly, when we came back from the gig, we were freezing cold and desperately tried to turn the radiator on, only to struggle with it for several minutes before my partner, having stayed in Travelodges for work previously, remembered how to get it working. The tea provided was fine, however decaf coffee seems an odd choice as most people drink normal caffeinated coffee. The kettle was clean, thankfully, but when it came to showering in the morning we needed to request a hairdryer as there wasn't one provided in the room. The best thing about the room was the bed which was, as far as we could tell without a black light, completely clean and smelled nice. It was comfy, warm and we slept well. There wasn't any outside noise either and no sound coming from the other rooms, so that was a bonus too. We opted not to have breakfast and instead chose to eat at Starbucks next door, which seemed far better value for money. Overall, we appreciated a decent bed for the night and a quiet sleep, and thought the lady on reception was an absolute star, but other than that we can't really say anything good about the place. I suppose all I can say is that it needs better (or more) cleaning staff, and someone to come in and check they've done a good job!
