Very cosy and quirky pub with open fires in the winter but I?ve experienced them in June it was that cold! It?s hard to fault The Jolly Sailor. Nice staff, nice customers and nice beer.

Went for a drink with a mate, proper local pub, very friendly

The door was open, so I went in for a delicious bitter shandy. There was general chat, no beery swearing or staring, and friendly service. In an armchair by a cosy fireplace, I checked my mobile, replied to some messages and reorganised my bag. After my drink, I went back out to the bright sunshine, refreshed. I will go back again!

An "old school boozer" with a friendly atmosphere and a chance of a great coal fire burning. A place I enjoy having a drink in occasionally.
