Called in today at lunch time as no food at home and pleasantly surprised and the new menu is in place from today.I ordered the crispy beef wrap and salt and pepper chips.Jodie and Max lovely as always, fair few people in for a Monday lunchtime but not overly busy!Highly recommend!

The service was okay. The atmosphere wasn't great as we had a loud 'annoying' table behind us so unfair to comment. The Sunday lunch was good. The pub itself looks better from the outside - needs a little investment to bring it into the competitions league.

Lovely evening meal in nice cosy traditional country pub with low beams and big fireplaces. Friendly service and very attentive. Food delicious and large portions! Highly recommended.

We went on a Saturday Evening around 6pm. Admittedly just after new year but the pub was quite quiet. The service was excellent and the staff also paid attention to my little one making sure she was well set up with a colouring set. Food was really good, we both had Steaks and were cooked perfectly. Nice drinks. The only moan and reason it did not get 5 stars was the pub itself was cold!! We kept our coats on throughout the meal. The fire was lit and radiators were on but I still didn't get warm. It wasn't that cold outside but overall it was a good meal and I would go back.Kid-friendliness: High chairs and colouring available for little ones

Best Sunday roast that I?ve had in a long time. Extra potatoes and veg were free of charge for hungry eaters. Lovely real log fire, warm atmosphere, super staff and service !

We had a fantastic Christmas Day lunch. Loved the festive atmosphere. The food was excellent and the portions just right for us. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. A lovely time was had by all and we would definitely do it again!

Lovely country inn. Staff were polite and friendly. Service was proficient. Lacked a little in atmosphere but I think that down to the time of day.

Fantastic Christmas party lunch for 20 people Super accommodating as we had 3 last minute additions including a colleague who turned up with no warning and no pre order ? Very friendly and the food was fantastic

The pub itself is lovely in a nice countryside setting. it would have been even nicer had the fire been on! Toilets were clean and fresh. I went here for Lunch. Good selection of food and drink and tasted great! I had a dessert and a coffee which I thought was quite pricy. I don?t agree with a service charge being added automatically to your bill it should be the customers choice!! Other than that an enjoyable meal. Will probably return however other pubs in the area offer blue light discount..

A good selection of food which covers most bases and tastes. We went on a Sunday, so there was roast beef or chicken as well as pub classics - burgers & fish and chips. There was also a specials board, although we didn't look at it. The food was good and arrived at the right time; not too quickly and not too long a wait. There's a good selection of draught beers to choose from, too.
