Staff are always stood in aisles swearing and chatting, there is a lovely though on the bread section with short brown hair, always beavering away and has a smile on her face! The bloke on self checkouts with the black hair who looks a bit gothy is so miserable! He shouldn't be in a customer service job.

Worst customer service. Went into buy some stuff, got to till and my Tesco clubcard app wasn't working. I was logged in, and the rude woman at the self-service tills could clearly see this, but refused to put it through at club card prices. Went to Sainsbury's instead, and will not shop at Macclesfield Tescos again.
Lack of common sense = poor customer service = one more person shopping at Tesco's competitors.

A great store, loads of choice. They sell clothes, household goods and much more. The store was well laid out and easy to find what you want. Loads of parking and also has a petrol station.

On one of the ?cash only? self service tills my money got chewed up. The young lady assistant told me that it happens all the time. So perhaps a service is due?

Left my card in a card reader and returned 15 minutes later only to find that a very kind Lucy H had put it in lost property.
Asked if I could leave a tip but was advised they cannot take gratuity.
This quite possibly saved me a few quid and it was beyond the line of duty. Thanks young lady, I appreciate this very much.

On a regular visit to Tesco Hibel Rd today, all customers faced a most disgusting odour at the entrance and throughout much of the store. This has been getting steadily worse over a few weeks.
Today, however, the odour was much worse. Whatever the cause, blocked drains or sewage, if Tesco wish to keep their customers, sorting this problem out should be made a priority.
Disappointingly, there was no acknowledgement of the problem from staff, not even a notice offering an apology.

This is the second time I've been in and the smell of raw sewage has made me gag and want to be sick. With a smell like that, clearly ongoing, it can't be sanitary to be selling food products. I'll be avoiding it.

Horrible experience?avoid this place!
The store smells awful, like sewage and methane gas. It?s been this way since Christmas, and it?s still the same now. I went in today, and after just 15 minutes, I felt dizzy, nauseous, and almost blacked out. Methane gas is dangerous because it can replace oxygen, making it hard to breathe and causing serious symptoms. This is a major safety hazard, and I can?t believe it hasn?t been addressed yet. Until they fix this issue, I strongly advise staying away!

The store absolutely stinks at the moment and has done since Christmas. Can't understand why the smell hasn't been dealt with yet!

Horrible smell like dirty nappies as you enter the store. Clearly a toilet problem which needs sorting over the last month or so.
Most staff ok but some very slow on the check out.
