The M&S town centre store relocated to the Barracks Mill retail park off the Silk Road in late 2022 and is now just a food store. No clothing and no cafe.

I find music distracting when trying to shop. Would prefer none at all, but M&S were playing "classical", which is slightly less distracting.

Nice airy fresh look for M&S in Macclesfield - good food shop.

Lovely modern clean store. Good vegan selection . I was helped by a helpful member of staff who also took the time to ask me what I would liked to have seen in the store today.

The lighting in store is a bit too bright and certainly doesn't help if you have a migraine (as experienced by myself on the day the store officially opened). However, I love the variety of produce available! On a side note, not exactly safe or easy to get to as a pedestrian, and I do miss their old store that was in the middle of town

Beautiful food and good layout to the shop, 3 stars lost as Ellie, the manager I believe, was heard asking if another staff member had a tiktok account. They then proceeded to record videos and the older employer ran in the aisle nearly knocking into someone. Ellie then walked around watching the videos repeatedly on her phone. I understand if M&S have a business tiktok but surely it's better to do that when the shop is closed. If it's for personal social media there's a time and a place for that and during working hours, that's not it.

This place will make you feel posh without the prices to match. Surprisingly not that expensive compared to other shops in the area.Their own brands are miles better than others!Iced Latte is 10/10 and really milkshake'y.Fish cakes and potatoes are delicious. They need to stock more Sour Cream & Jalapeno combo mix!Surprisingly not that busy, even around Christmas. Speaking of which, going to M&S for Christmas dinner wasn't terrible!Staff come across as friendly and really easy to approach. They always seem to have the staff to man the tils when there's a queue. Self checkout is easy too!So much parking! 9/10 times you'll find a spot directly in front of the shop. My only annoyance is getting in and out of the car park, but not an M&S problem.

As with other M& Ss, it's gone. No more cafe selling yummy food & drinks, no more browsing for clothes, underwear & gifts or picking up online. One of those department store buildings left behind getting steadily more derelict. Apparently there's an out of town food hall which you can't get to by bus and difficult by car too. What were they thinking?? The food was also overpriced so I never bought any. Quite a number of pensioners who can't drive/can't afford a car (or the petrol) will simply have to forget about it. Meanwhile, Macclesfield is steadily becoming (or maybe is?) a derelict dump. It's getting too depressing to go. Perhaps town planners should apply common sense to solving this problem. Filling them with coffee shops & start up eateries won't work if there's no reason like shopping, to go. They tried that in Sale and it's deserted. So sad at what seems a lack of joined up thinking, bad decision making from a limited viewpoint and overpricing of rates and rents in the one place most people can get to. As for Marks - what are you going to do about all those empty buildings no-one can fill going steadily more derelict? You have some responsibility surely.

The store was bright, spacious with so much choice of wonderful food products and the staff were so helpful. A wonderful experience, hence I will certainly be going again.

Nice, clean, organised shop. Just wish walking through the car park was safer as it lacks pedestrian pathways (in my opinion)
