I would like to say a huge thank you to Caroline and David at the Lloyds, Macclesfield branch. After spending hours trying to open a UK bank account (as I have recently moved over from Australia with my UK passport) and being treated very poorly by various ?customer service? representatives at other banks because I do not yet have proof of address, these two were so welcoming and looked after me! I really appreciate their genuine care and time they took to get to know me and help me out in a time of need. I now have a bank account opened with Lloyds and will be able to get paid into it by my new job & be able to get permanent accommodation so that I actually have an address. Thanks so much to these two!

Truly dreadful telephone service - answered quickly, then for a simple account balance enquiry 'I will have to transfer your call'. Then on hold for 22 minutes now and still waiting ...... ridiculous. All I needed was a balance confirmation as I am out of the country at the moment . Well, after 30+ minutes I did get through - to a person who 'can't check that as it is a personal account and I only have business account access.
