Excellent Ploughman's , so plentiful we could have shared between 2, excellent value, pie and gammon were first class. Bakewell Tart scrumptious, too.

Really nice cafe but can be a long wait to order at busy times, especially if you only want tea and a cake. Good selection of cakes.

Nice place but I was slightly disappointed with my beef ciabatta, thin slices of beef that looked like they came out of a packet and the onion rings which I was so looking forward were soggy in the sandwich?better served on the side. My husband enjoyed his bbq chicken sandwich. Noticed that some tables were not cleared for some time.

A popular garden centre café with plenty of choice and a variety of different seating areas.
The place has a busy, active feel to it.
The coffees we ordered were tiny in everything except price. The large coffee was served in a smallish cup. The regular coffees were in very small cups. This is a shame since the coffee was very good.

The garden center itself is great and the staff are helpful. Unfortunately the same can't be said of the cafe. Paid £4.45 for a sausage sandwich (see pic) that consisted of a couple of anorexic sausages that barely covered the inside of a dry barm (no butter) ~ disgusting. Won't be eating there again anytime soon.

Looked very inviting when entering restaurant. Cakes looked lovely. Sadly went down hill from there. Ordered steak and ale pie and fish gougons. Went to sit down and all the chairs were filthy and found it difficult to find a clean one. There is no excuse for this as the were PVC covering and a hot cloth would have solved this issue.
Food came, my pie was caught and one end was rock hard and meat dry I could not eat the majority of it.
My daughter's ciabatta bread was also a lot harder than it should be? stale.
Sadly although only £10-50 per meal ruined a lovely lunch catchup.
Won't be returning

Sandwich very nice, accompanying salad had a strongly flavoured dressing. I prefer salad without. Wasn't asked whether or not I wanted dressed salad. Chips nice, but could have been a little hotter. Big queues at busy times. Hot drinks need to come with meal. I'd finished my coffee before the sandwich turned up.
1 star atmosphere - it's a garden centre cafe not a nightclub. Also very noisy from conversations, so not good for those who get stressed with noise. Though there is sheltered seating outside the cafe where it's a lot quieter.
This is an ok place, though could do with a wider choice of vegan desserts.
Vegetarian options: I had a vegetarian sandwich (egg mayo) which was very nice. There was a vegan pasty on offer on the menu.

A great place to eat or have a brew and a slice of cake
