We called for a Sunday roast dinner . It took approximately 30mins from ordering for the food to arrive. The roast beef was riddled with gristle and the meat was tough beyond belief. After fighting with it for about ten mins I gave up and conceded defeat. Someone who I assume was the landlord came over to ask if everything was ok. I very politely responded that the beef was extremely tough, the reply to which was ?I thought I?d seen you struggling to cut it, would you like to try another couple of slices?? I declined the offer as the initial portion had totally worn me out to the point where I could no longer face the vegetables that were still on my plate let alone round two with the beef. I was then told that he would mention it to the chef.
Of course I would not go again and would advise others to do likewise.

Nice relaxing cozy pub in Lymm village food is freshly cooked but worth the wait we had chilli which was lovely and chips on the side were crispy and soft in the middle yum

Service was courteous, 45 plus mins wait for food, the previous photos showed home made food, we received poor quality food clearly supermarket. Cheap basiç, burger bun, two slices of tomato and packet bean burger, nasty hard chips chef day off maybe really disappointing. Recomend eating somewhere else.

Wheelchair accessibility: The venue was wheelchair accessible, although I did find the double doors difficult to get through. I had phoned in advance and the pub had reserved a place for me in their ?top bar?.

Really great atmosphere in here , real fire, dogs allowed. The kitchen can be a little slow but the food is nice

So let down. Not been for a long time due to illness. Came back with my partner. I was stood in the bar waiting for several minutes before a member of staff spoke to me. My partners food was OK. My steak was cold. My partner had nearly finished his when my heated up meal was brought. No one asked how it was. Then we were sat over 15 minutes with no staff coming near to ask if we wanted dessert. No one to be seen. So we gave up, paid up and came away. Such a shame.

Had lunch with family, extremely slow service - we waited for 30 mins for appetisers and after that another 30-35 minutes for the mains. There were only 8-10 diners as we were there early. There was no communication about the delay from their side, had to ask 3 times for our mains to arrive. The food was below average! Won?t bother going there again.

We had been to The Spread Eagle for food many times together as a couple and once we realised there was a function room, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding reception. The function room is beautiful inside with its wooden beams. It has a lovely cosy feel, but plenty of space to seat our 40 guests and for a dance floor. Claire was amazing, she organised everything. She listened to our ideas and thought of every detail. We knew we had nothing to worry about. Claire decorated the room beautifully and everything was in keeping with our vintage theme. Our guests loved the food, there was something for everyone and the portion size was great. All the staff on the day were fantastic, very approachable and accommodating. We had the best day and we cannot thank you all enough.

Had a few drinks and lunch. Very friendly and attentive staff. Very dog friendly too. We both enjoyed a nice starter and main. Would definitely recommend, and we?ll be back
