The price of the vegan/veggie menu was ridiculous- why is the veggie curry on the set menu £14 but over £17 on the veggie menu?? It wasn?t like they had paid for meat substitutes that were expensive in which case I?d understand but the menu was very overpriced, also no vegan options on the set menu.
The portions were generous but the chips were unseasoned, I think frozen, and the vegetables were soggy/overcooked and bland. I don?t mind expensive menus but only if the food delivers and particularly from a veggie standpoint it wasn?t worth it, you could cook the same meal at home for far less and it would probably be better.
I asked for the apple gyozas for dessert, about 15 minutes after we?d ordered the dessert, a waitress came over to say they didn?t have any so I chose something else, then a few moments later she came back to say they had ?found some? so I?m guessing they had a box in back of the freezer or something. They tasted good enough but the caramel sauce mostly tasted like cinnamon and don?t really go with the dumplings and ice cream.
We did visit on a bank holiday so I understand slow service but it took so long to get a server?s attention throughout the entire meal; to clear our table, to bring water which we had to ask for several times, to be offered desert menus, it was just very slow.
It?s a shame, it?s a nice place but I was disappointed by the prices and quality of the food.

Had a great meal here for a large group. It was easy to book in advance and even though my initial call was missed, I was called back, which was brilliant. The food was very good and every member of my party was very impressed with the quality. I?d definitely recommend this and hopefully will be able to return in the future. Thanks!

We arrived at the pub yesterday at 16:45? there was 1 customer in the whole place - a lady in the rear garden? we walked in, approached the bar, a young girl asked if we we ok, I stated ?Hi, can we say anywhere to order food?? she said ?yes? the said to (I think her name was Sharon) ?can these eat??? to which she was told ?no? ? so the girl turns back to us and says ?you can?t order food because everyone is coming to eat at 5??!!!! We just said ?thanks?
EVERYONE who?? There was literally no a soul in the place.. every table - except 1 outside was empty.
So disappointed with the attitude.

Family style restaurant and bar. Bustling on a Sunday. Wonderful staff, cooking average with smaller sized portions, not sure everything fresh so a little freezer action in play with some dishes. Lovely family atmosphere.
