Lovely room, well decorated and an amazing monsoon shower. I was fine with a one night stay as I was told the inn is being refurbished, so no supper. Breakfast was taken care of by Gail?s Bakery a minute?s walk round the corner. Communication prior to arrival is excellent.But then I left something in my room and got the usual ?we didn?t find it? response, however to my surprise and delight Lee called me and announced it had been found, it had fallen out of sight. So he kindly posted the item back to me. It would have been so easy just to bin it and carry on, but this level of service is a real indicator of how much the rmployees are wedded to the brand and its reputation.I?d definitely go back. Especially if the inn opens up for food.Excellent value, clean, safe, nicely designed decor, super comfortable bed, great location and gold standard customer service. What?s not to love?

Great location 1 minute walk to everything you need room really nice and clean just needs a couple of things, set of drawers as no storage ironing board and iron and perhaps a small fridge. Hostess very helpful, great WiFi ?Walkability: 1 minutes walk to everything you needFood & drinks: Knutsford it's no cheap lol but worth a visit

These beautiful, tastefully decorated rooms are located in the very centre of Knutsford Town yet in a quieter side street with ample parking!Check-in was seamless due to a key-code entry system and within seconds of arriving we were unpacking in our stunning room.The rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay: a large/luxurious bathroom complete with separate walk-in shower and tub, a large comfortable bed, coffee maker/ tea/ biscuits, individual smart heat control, essential toiletries and a large smart-tv.This is room only, however within a 3 minute walk of the rooms we found plenty of cafes serving breakfast (so many quality cafes that we were spoilt for choice) and dozens of restaurants.We will definitely be staying again - a perfect hidden gem.

Rooms finished to a very high standard. My photos would be exactly the same as the website images. Will definitely stay again. This is a luxury AirB&B without the Breakfast. Theresa?s a kettle and. Nespresso-ish machine in the room. The location is great, with a large municipal carpark outside that?s free overnight. Sound proofing could be improved between rooms, but especially out to the street where very early morning garbage trucks, restaurants recycling woke me up. The freestanding bath was a treat, but those with mobility issues should note that it?s very high sided. The shower is perfect for those with lower mobility. Lastly the Yale motion sensor positioned at eye level had an annoying light that flashed continuously. A sock solved this.

In their post-booking email response to me, the owners say ?we value your feedback and?would greatly appreciate it if you could take a moment to share your experience with others by leaving a review?. So here goes: The Silk Rooms at the Freemason?s Inn are clearly the product of a lot of careful, expensive design and restoration work. But behind the ?hint of contemporary rustic?, the artful additions of ceramics and old books enhanced by Farron and Ball décor, their description is fundamentally misleading. The Rooms? very name specifically suggests that they are part of a familiar ?pubs with rooms? establishment stating that their ?boutique ensuite bedrooms? are ?located above the Freemasons Inn? (even though the site is closed for refurbishment). In fact they are nothing of the sort, merely an expensive, unserviced room-only rental. That would be fine for a single stay but for more, having to pay £165 per night to make our own bed, wash up our cups and glasses and with no fresh towels is not our idea of good value. Furthermore, although the building ?has been re-awakened with its heritage in mind?, further attention to detail was also sadly missing. There was only one saucer and insufficient milk for two people for two days in our room, while the single hand towel plus a dead and dessicated fern in the bathroom summed up our whole unfortunate experience. Moreover the security light outside our dark entry door didn?t work, the stylish metal checker-plate stairs were very slippery in the rain and one night?s sleep was interrupted by drunken shouting from the car park directly outside. All in all, our stay at The Silk Rooms was a disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable first-time visit to the lovely Cheshire area.

Restful stay in clean recently renovated, atmospheric rooms in centre of pretty Knutsford. Huge superking bed with lovely walk in shower en-suite. Housekeeper, Richard was very friendly and helpful.

Booked 2 rooms at the silk rooms what more can I say absolutely amazing rooms are exactly as the photos show pure luxury. Easy to access and car parking not an issue .lovely pubs and restaurants in a lovely village would definitely recommend others to stay here and we would definitely stay again ??????

The location of this property is perfect. A minutes walk from all amenities including local bars and restaurants, shops etc. The property was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. Brilliant power shower facilities and coffee and tea making equipment too. Would definitely recommend for someone exploring knutsford and I would certainly stay again. For anyone driving, there is a car park right opposite but there is a max stay of 4 hours. Tip: There are two other local car parks nearby with max stay of 10 hours for greater convenience, and still only a couple of minutes walk away.

Beautiful clean rooms! We stayed 2 nights for a wedding. The location is fantastic as its right in the centre of Knutsford. The parking was a bit faffy, great as there was plenty right outside but only 4 hours were allowed on the machine, so we had to set alarms to make sure we were covered. Free WiFi was included in the description but there was no password anywhere in the rooms or with the information provided. As we were there for a wedding, we obviously had to get ready, now as lovely as the ambient lighting was and very romantic it was terrible to try and put make up on etc. Brighter bulbs with the dimmer switches would work a treat.

Fantastic service and brilliant design. This place is an absolute gem, very tastefully put together. If your looking for a great place to stay in Knutsford you wont need to look any further. Highly recommend!

Wow what a place! Absolutely love the interior design and the attention to detail. It almost feels like the building gives you a hug when you walk in. Everything has been thought of, the location is excellent with parking right outside. All of the local bars and shops are just seconds away. Super easy to check in and out, really enjoyed my stay. Will defiantly be visiting The Silk Rooms again :)

Knutsford is such a beautiful location and this accommodation reflected that perfectly. What a stunning building that has been rescued and returned to an even better condition. The stay in this quirky and unique place, was just wonderful. A real feast for the eyes. The owners have really thought about so many details and have bought the space to life. I slept so well in a really comfy bed and had actually thought it may be noisy as it was in the centre of a town, but it was super quiet. I would definitely recommend and return here.
