The Red Lion has been my local pub since I turned 18 (over 20 years ago). After university and a few years living away, it became my local pub again and has done since.
I came with my family and parents (group of 6) on thursday. I had booked and requested a specific table, which was ready and waiting for us. Therw was a good choice of meals on the menu which were all fairly priced. We received our food quickly considering it was an order for 6 of us. Food arrived hot and was well presented. The staff were absolutely fantastic. They were welcoming, friendly and attentive. They offered to bring drinks to the table, they checked we were happy with our meals and even offered the children an extra scoop of ice cream because theirs had started to melt. I really could not fault anything about our visit. Would certainly still recommend after all these years.

registered my card but Paid cash and then they took it of my card aswell
Nightmare to get ot back but eventually sorted it but staff very rude and said I hadn't paid cash

Went for lunch with my wife. Food was amazing...rib of beef was cooked to perfection. Staff really friendly too and the Managers came over and asked if everything was OK. Had a good chat with them.
Very nice people and will go back.

First time we been had a family meet up but we will never go back attitude on arrival was very unpleasant we then proceeded to wait for 1 hour 20 mins for any food to arrive this was after asking 3 times about our order we was very close on walking out but a guarantee we will never walk in again you list 6 customers tonight through your lack of customer service skills and lack of priority ordering

Myself and my husband came here for lunch as an anniversary date. We had the fixed price 3 courses - we had beer battered mushrooms, haddock fishcakes and a mac and cheese, and sticky toffee pudding with custard.
We enjoyed a pot of tea each and a couple of coffees - they were worth coming in for alone, if you've only got a short time to spare
All the food was lovely, came out steaming hot and cooked fresh.
The service was great, we didn't feel rushed or pressured to leave once we had finished. We also weren't bombarded with queries about how the meal was, whilst we were eating.
Top notch!
Would recommend and definitely will be returning.

Last night was not 5star only 2star.The menu stated buttermilk chicken curry was served up with chicken in bread crumbs with not very nice curry.Remove from menu!!!

Lovely pub, great food. We weren't very hungry so ate from the Sunday Sides menu a choice of three dishes for £6.49, Excellant,will definitely do it again.
