Good quality pub food. Service could be better. Food not served but more thrown on to the table. Good range of drinks

Been to the Red Lion a few times now. The food is excellent traditional Pub Food with something for everyone on the menu. Lovely in the summer thanks to its rural location. When we went is quiet which suited us. Service was prompt but not intrusive, the owner behind the bar did everything for us.

Me and my boyfriend were staying at the nearby glamping pods over my birthday weekend. We popped in on the Friday evening and had 2 delicious pints (great selection of drinks). My boyfriend booked an evening meal for the night after which the barman sorted for us no problem. The locals at the bar and the staff were friendly and we weren?t made to feel out of place. We arrived for our evening meal the next day and we were greeted by the same friendly staff. The food was good with good portions. We then finished our drinks out front in the beer garden which although being right on the road was still peaceful and a lovely place to sit. We had a lovely visit and would definitely recommend to others along with the glamping pods just up the road. Side note: the horses and foals in the nearby field were one of the highlights of the weekends :) Such a beautiful area. Thanks for such a lovely time, made for a great birthday weekend.

Was sceptical about trying out this place by going on some of the reviews. Anyway as staying at Welltrough Farm, we decided to give it a try & glad we did. Was gave a warm welcome, dog friendly & food was lovely. We tried the fish & chips. Piping hot& good portion sizes. Clean & well kept pub. Ladies toilet was one of the cleanest pub toilets I?ve ever used. Will definitely use again next time in the area.

What a lovely pub this is and a beautiful location. We?ve been here a few times now, sometimes for food with the family or just for evening drinks. Plenty of parking to the side and rear. Nice area at the front to have a drink, a quiet road so not noisy. Owners are friendly, food delicious. We?ll definitely be back here again. ?

Had several bad experiences at this pub. Most notably, we were staying locally and came for some some drinks, possibly food at 8 o'clock on the weekend. The owner was inside with some locals and punters drinking and we knocked on and they turned around and laughed and ignored us. They advertise they are open til 10. No reason the landlord couldn't have came and said they were shut instead of being incredibly rude. Hopefully Robinson's sees sense before the landlord runs this place into the ground. Much better going to The Old Pub down the road.

The Red Lion is a pleasant rural pub in a peaceful location that offers a very decent menu. I have dined there a few times and have always found the food to be of a good standard. The Car Park is large and parking is not an issue. It's a lovely place to be on a sunny afternoon and the location is a boon for walkers and cyclists alike. I understand the pub is also dog friendly so that's a plus for a few people. The drinks (and I can speak for the other pubs in the locality) can be a tad on the more expensive side but everything else is pretty much as a standard and you pay what you'd expect to pay for pub dining. All-in-all it's a really wonderful looking pub with a nice interior and a pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely do another visit soon.

Staff have been rude twice that I?ve been there. First time the chicken burger was ridiculously small for the price.Second time in particular, couldn?t order from the kids menus (we weren?t that hungry) asked for recorderling long and his response was ?are you going to tell me which one?? Not a laugh or smile and said it with an attitude. Never seem to have fish in, forgot two of my friends orders we sat for 30 minutes all eaten besides 2 people and I went to ask, kitchen had no idea about the order, the guy just blamed them ?Looked baffled when I asked how much a pint of carling was.Only reason I?m giving it a 2 is because the second time we went the food was alright. Both times the pub has nobody in. Avoid, try the other pub in the area. I will be next time.

Really lovely pub in the Cheshire country side, really nice food and lovely walks around. You can sit in or out and just chill, very nice place.
