Terrible customer service, terrible hygiene, crap coffee. Just avoid. We had to remove old dishes from our table by ourselves, no one came to clean the table.

We called in at about 4pm on a Thursday evening and were met with a member of staff saying takeaway service only. So we ordered a drink and cake to take out, as 2 of us were no longer interested in a drink. While we were waiting a group of 4 came in behind us and said they had an afternoon tea booked, there was no apology and just an answer of we only have a takeaway service. I think the 2 staff on duty need a course of customer service and how to be polite, as an apology for something that has been booked and not being met is definitely warranted.

Excellent friendly service from Nikki today 8/12/2023 in the Cheshire Oaks Ellesmere Port store. Nothing was too much trouble and she even arranged for a chocolate birthday plaque to be placed in our afternoon tea tray for my husband as we were celebrating his 50th birthday. The food was fresh and came in generous portions and the unlimited drinks were ordered and delivered to the table very swiftly. Would definitely recommend a visit to this store, the cleanliness, the staff and the service were excellent.

Nice cakes. Tables need clearing and a good clean. Service poor. If your enjoying 'afternoon tea treat' expect to queue behind new customers for a refill of your drink at the till. Refill requests refused at tea point. It's not part of the service to ask if we everything is ok, do you want a refill. Kinda takes away from the enjoyment to queue mid meal.

I visited here yesterday afternoon with my friend as I was treating her for her recent birthday. I?d bought a Groupon voucher beforehand for an ?afternoon tea for two? deal. I tried to phone beforehand to check availability for the afternoon tea and that they had gluten free options for myself, like bread for sandwiches, but no one answered the phone. When we turned up, I was told they don?t do gluten free anymore, they?ve taken it off the menu recently and that they don?t have any gluten free bread at all or cakes. How disappointed I was! What a let down. The staff were so unhelpful and I was so upset. My friend and I had to leave and find somewhere else for lunch.

The customer service skills were non existent. The staff acted like they basically didn?t want to be there. My husband mentioned he had a 10% discount which the cashier said she?d put on - she hadn?t. There were hardly any cakes left. I overheard a member of staff telling a table that the cake someone had ordered had since been sold. Some people left the cafe before ordering as the queue just wasn?t moving. It was just an awful experience all round.

I had previously visited the premises and had thought it congenial. However a visit yesterday was little short of unpleasant. We were 'ordered' by staff to order by mobile phone to thier app ( a palaver it must be said) and ordered 2 'skillet' brunches.There was a toast option which I couldn't access online so I went to the till to order thus making the palaver of the QR code. The assistant wanted to charge £4 for what was advertised as £1. Whilst that was going on a staff member was cleaning the next table and placed a plastic wash tub on my chair as my table. She bustled about leaving me standing about in the restaurant. When she removed the tub the chair seat was left soaking wet. This was all before we were served our portion of fried potatoes with hidden sausage and tomato skins which bore no relation to the published photo When we challenged the staff they were apologetic and said it was a new menu which did not appear popular with customers but as it was corporate could do nothing about. We're not likely to visit Patisserie Valerie again as a result. A pretty poor result I think you may agree.

I paid for a voucher via buy a gift for my grandparents, I?ve tried calling up to five times a day for the last four days, and no one picks up the phone. I?ve messaged via social media, and no response. I?ve even emailed head office, but the email bounced back. Clearly, they actively don?t want business or have non-existent customer service! I will be getting a refund from buy a gift.

Overall a poor customer service at the till. The breakfast was definitely not work the money. Place lacking atmosphere.

Had a bit of an accident this morning, managed to shut the car boot on my head! Ouch! Went into Valerie Patisserie this morning for a coffee as all the shops where still closed, Nicky was lovely sat me down with a gorgeous coffee and made my dog Harlie feel very welcome ? also gave her a doggy drink. Thank you to the other young girl who was also in the shop, very attentive polite staff. I will be returning without a bump on my head to taste those beautiful cakes ? Thank you again Donna x

Fabulous afternoon tea ...again We had another Buyagift voucher to use up We arrived at noon and thankfully it was not too busy. Service with a smile and very fast delivery of the beautiful food The food: ham and mustard finger sandwich - lovely chicken and pesto finger sandwich - lovely cucumber finger sandwich - nice if a bit plain salmon with sift cheese on a fruity hard biscuit - lovely fruit scone and one plain scone - lovely selection of cakes - lovely The cappuccino was lovely - I had three as all drinks are unlimited The latte was lovely too We would definitely visit again, we were initially hesitant as some of the previous reviews were a bit negative, since our last visit, but, I am glad we decided to visit this particular Patisserie Valerie again To top it off we also had a £10 cake voucher so we were allowed to selected 4 cakes! So ,we're going out tomorrow for a cake-nic! Highly recommended for wheelchair users too as they have a accessible loo and if that is not working, public toilets which are very well maintained are next door about a 50 metre walk or ride away

We were given a voucher to use here as a gift for afternoon tea and we should have just binned it. We arrived and gave in our details, with no pre-booking needed. A small 3 tier plate was brought over with 2 items of each course. Tea / Coffee was ordered when we confirmed whilst we were there but this was not delivered until some time after the food had arrived and when we asked for napkins, were offered 'Blue Roll'. What place does not provide basic's such as napkins when serving food. The venue was clean but had no atmosphere and not a place I would return to or go recommend anyone to visit

We went for afternoon tea( a birthday gift) and had a lovely tea with a selection of delicious sandwiches , cakes and scones plus as many drinks as we wanted. Our server Nicky was lovely and helpful

Ordered lunch on the app, all straightforward. Drinks came out near enough straight away, thought great. Food -2 meals eventually came out but not the 3rd. Waited a good 10 mins other 2 family members started eating no sign of the 3rd meal. Approached counter to a response of only 2 meals ordered , they checked with kitchen. On the app clearly said 3 meals ordered. So I asked for a refund as others had finished. To get told 'sit' and will refund. No sorry for the inconvenience, no checking if refund had gone through. Luckily an email came through to confirm. Will not be visiting again due to horrendous customer service shocking
