From arriving slightly early in the pouring rain, (Audrey, staff member who opened the door slightly early to let me in) to the final decision on which specs to choose, all staff at this outlet of Boots are professional, experienced, friendly, and so helpful.

Mike the optician is lovely very personable always put u at ease chats through to get thorough idea of how your sight has been, the girls in store are lovely always make you feel special and cared for. I get free eye test and money off through work but this boots aren't part of scheme I would rather pay for this service than use my free options elsewhere that's how good they are thankyou ?

Giving 1 star is being generous! Been a customer for so long and paid for contact lenses reward while also getting my eye test included. They started messing around with the pricing and when I received my contact lenses, the solution I had paid for wasn't included. When I went for my checkup for my contact lenses and eye test, I explained to the optician what had happened and he didn't know why. He then recommended I try different type of contact lenses. I explained to him that I had already tried them in the past and I had a bad reaction to them. He insisted I try them anyway as my current ones were beneficial ( the ones he wanted me to change to were more expensive!). As soon as I put them on, my right eye was getting irritated by it but the optician said to keep them in to settle and after 30mins, I had to take them off as the pain was ridiculous. My eye had a bad reaction and took over 4 weeks with drops to heal correctly. I then call customer service to complain about the service I had received from the opticians and again about having no solution with my order to find that the opticians had cancelled my solution but I had still been getting charged for the solution! I Asked to cancel the lot and put a complaint in to the opticians as noone had call to apologise or check I was ok. And I've still not received a call from anyone or anything. Getting my contacts and glasses elsewhere for not overpriced products and solution that I've paid for and received!

Service & staff were excellent. My only issue is the extortionate price for replacement lenses. I previously paid over £500 for frames & lenses, & the cost to replace just the lenses is over £540?? Ridiculously expensive. I am seriously considering going elsewhere in future.

The lovely manager in Ellesmere Port helped me to get help with my eye problem. My own optician didn't seem to want to help.I will be changing to Boots. Once again many thanks to that lovely lady.xx
