I've been a regular customer at Bargain Booze and wanted to share my thoughts on their service and store environment. Overall, I have no major issues with the store itself, although it can feel a bit cramped like most corner shops. However, despite the limited space, there's always plenty of stock available.The staff at Bargain Booze have consistently been nice and friendly, which enhances the overall shopping experience. Although I've noticed them lingering outside occasionally, presumably on break, they're always quick to return and serve customers promptly upon entry.I mainly use this store for Yodel postage services, and I've never had any issues. The service has always been straightforward and efficient. Additionally, I've observed that the staff have developed good relationships with customers, often engaging in friendly and chatty conversations.While I appreciate the friendly atmosphere, I've noticed some inconsistencies in closing times, and the shutters are sometimes down a bit earlier than expected. However, this hasn't been a significant issue for me personally, as it's only something I've observed while passing by.Overall, Bargain Booze offers friendly service and convenient amenities, making it a reliable choice for my shopping needs.

So Bargain booze used to be open until 10 because it's a convenience store. I showed up once at 9 and they had closed and would not let me in even though the door and online clearly stated 10pm closing.They've recently amended this and now close at the earlier time of 9.Now If they close at 9 why when I arrive at 8:50 for milk for my child are they refusing entry and saying they've shut down the til. They need to stick to closing time stated on the website and the door and stop picking and choosing when they can be arsed to be open until.I'm furious with the shocking service and the attitude of the staff when as the customer who wants to buy something before closing time gets treated like I am in the wrong.The manager needs to sort this out and make sure there's some improvement.

Shopkeeper (looked like a teenager) asked me to prove my exemption from wearing a mask... I always carry a xray machine around with me... And he's a doctor obviously... Refused service because I refuse to talk to him about my private medical conditions. The argument far outlasted what would have been a simple transaction, therefore increasing the risk of covid transmission. He himself wasn't wearing a mask. What a massive joke! Bet he serves his chav friends without masks

Extremely disappointed with the collect+ service from here: received a text and email saying my parcel had arrived. When I got there, I could see it behind the counter with others, but was told that I couldn?t have it, because The System wasn?t working. I said they must have some sort of manual backup to record who?s taken what, like, say, a pen and paper. But they said No. I said I?ve got all the ID necessary, can?t you just copy it all down and manually update The System when The System is working again? No. I said, but I need this - is why I ordered it as next-day. They said no. I said please. They said no. Could they not take a photo of the barcodes of the item and my customer barcode, and when The System is up scan those? No.The staff were not in the slightest bit interested in helping, and I find it difficult to believe that there was no backup plan for The System, if The System went down. I suspect they just didn?t want to be bothered with the faff of manually writing down all the necessary details ie. long barcode numbers, names, addresses, id?s etc. for every customer, and then have to stay behind or suchlike to input all the long barcode numbers etc. manually when The System was working again. Very disappointing, and dreadful customer service. The staff were suitably apologetic, and certainly pleasant the whole time, at no point were they not, but they worked hard to be unhelpful in this situation! Won?t be going there again in a hurry!

Honestly can't thank one of the girls enough. Had trouble for 2 days with an eletric key and gas card and one of the girls here went above and beyond for me even to the point of using her own money trying to get a card working. Thankyou so much!
